They didn't nuke it with bloom. Go play Jericho and you will see for yourself.

Windows 7. For some reason the Utopia sounding ads don't convince me of its reliability...

I don't want to think about it :( They need to make a Windows XP SP 10. That would be much better.

windows 7 is supposed to be vista without errors and for your information if you have 3gs of ram as the average computer comes with now if you arent cheap andbuy a 400 dollar computer then vista runs faster then xp it just has bugs.

XP is for the games that you liked to play. Vista and Windows 7 are for the games you "want" to play. I also read a couple articles on Microsoft that the PC is indeed far better then the 360 counterpart. The 360 only uses simple parts. The power supply and Disk Drives are from Toshiba, the Motherboard is from Microsoft, and the casing is made from some Chinese company. So basically, you are paying more then the 360 is actually worth. The PC in this case, is far more compatible with 360 games if it weren't on 360 disks.

XP is faster.. get the facts right. :|
Its only faster because it doesn't use as much RAM. People just need to stop living in a cave from the Stone Age with their 512MB Ram Cards. Stop being so nieve and just get some more RAM. It only costs $50 at Walmart for 2GB RAM.

Then its probably your processor. Vista was never slow for me and I have a 1.6GHz Processor. Also with 1GB RAM.

The vista operating system is substantially slower than XP. It's just that your XP computer has worse specs than your PC with vista so it makes up for it. IF you were to run your computer with XP with same stats you will notice a substantial difference in speed. At any one time, vista is taking up around 1-2 gigs of my RAM. Now, on my XP computer, my computer only had 1 gig of ram and the operating system only used about 10-20 percent of that. THAT's a big difference. Now don't you sit here and say vista is faster than XP.

Now lets get back on topic please?

Vista takes up more RAM because it's an improved operating system that needs more memory. If you're saying that's a bad thing, then by that logic, I could say that Windows Vista is way slower than MS-DOS because DOS doesn't take up as much memory. That doesn't make any sense.

As operating systems improve in complexity, they hog up more memory. It doesn't mean that they're slower, it just means that they need better hardware in order to make use of their faster processing of more and more information. Even though Windows Vista isn't that much better than XP in terms of features, it definitely isn't slower than XP.

Sup josh, Vista uses about 800MB RAM, so Ill just assume that the other 1.2 GBs in use is from your programs.

I use vista, I got 4 gigs of ram dual screen monitors, and mine dosent even use one gig. Shut up all you dumbass vista haters. Its a great os, and every single thing I use on it runs fast. And, all of you will eventually have to upgrade.

Kid, I have Vista. Apart of its style, its a bad OS. You just didnt explore it as much.

Yea, your right. I DIDNT. WHO CARES? I can use what I want on it, IT WORKS FINE FOR ME. ITS FAST! Why do I like it? Because I can like something without having to rip it apart just to find something to b**** about.

wow, kidd calm down. Truth though? 70 percent of all users perfer XP. Its just a fact.

And why is that? Because one person says, I HATE VISTA, it spreads to the next person, and to the next person and becomes the "Cool" thing to say. I bet 65% of them haven't even tried it.

This is why I hate Halo 3 PC discussions, it always leads to an operating system argument, and never a discussion about the possibility for Halo 3 PC and why. Hopefully you guys remember Dennis' quote...oh wait you don't because you're still arguing. Here is what I remember to the best of my knowledge:

The best operating system is the one that works for your needs, and works well for you.
Pretty much, if the operating system works on your computer, and you have minimal bugs, then it's the best operating system for you.

KS, wtf, ur logic keeps failing us. IT IS A BAD THING. Why? because as Kirby says, there os kernel isnt compressed. That's why it is a bad thing. AND WHILE THINGS IMPROVE< IT DOESNT MEAN THEY GET BIGGER. They always improve, but stay the same size or get smaller. Dont you learn anything that evolves around you? :|

KS, just stay out of arguements.

PROOF:

I'm not seeing a physical difference. Except the processes and there is no difference in CPU usage.

You kids and your XP and Vista. Ubuntu will always be on top while xp and vista ramble at the bottom of the food chain.

Enough. The only real big difference between vista and xp is that vista will save the amount of RAM needed to run a process, so the next time you run it, it will have the RAM already there waiting for it.

Anyway, this is what I have to say about halo 3 pc.
No.

Let's not turn this into a XP > Vista debate. We've had enough already... Some people do prefer Vista, because they have a better computer (aka me). And Halo 2 Vista rules if you have a good computer. Otherwise? It runs slowly and choppily.

You need to die. Now.
Vista requires MUCH more ram then XP. XP seems to be the most stable and relyable operating system. Especially when it comes to gaming. Microsoft has been making things like Direct X 10 and H2v exclusive to Vista so that they have another reason to buy it. Vista is such a resource hog that it doesnt deserve the respect that you guys are giving it.

.... No it wouldn't. It would basically be the arguement here, but ten times less productive.

Vista ftw
