Dude, I'm sorry, but that just isn't that great at all. Work on your modeling; don't use primitives, but learn on a different type of modeling called plane modeling. But if you are going to use Primitives, learn how to use them properly and follow a tut on this site. And learn to unwrap THEN UVW the model.

That needs a whole lotta work, not to be mean but it really does look terrible. Work off of a concept and practice more with modeling before you post your work, anywhere. Quote: --- Original message by: DarkHalo003

Edited by DarkHalo003 on Dec 26, 2008 at 10:17 PM stfu, you can use primitives to model. you just have to know how to add details using primitives.

People, he didn't ask for model criticism he asked how you get it ingame. Pull the sticks out of your butts. The first thing you need to do is export the model http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=1639 This exporter will work if you use max This one will work if you use Gmax http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=2823 To export properly, make sure your model is an editable poly. To make it an editable poly, select it and right click and click convert to editable poly. Then run the script. put the exported JMS into a subfolder in your halo custom edition/data/weapons folder and open tool (this tutorial will teach you how to run tool: http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=2481 ) type this command in tool: tool model weapons\(yourweaponname) If it works, you will now have a folder in your tags/weapons folder named after your weapon. inside that folder, will be the GBXmodel tag. Your welcome I apologize for the behavior of the other users. Edited by ICEE on Dec 26, 2008 at 10:37 PM

No, I modeled with primitives and I can easily say that they aren't the best to model with. I never said they were bad, but I am saying that they aren't the best ways to model. Yakz, I know they're easier to work with at first, but they aren't honestly the most flexible things ever. It really would be better to plane model than model with primitives. But ICEE is right, this guy is simply asking on how to get it in-game. Unfortunately, I'm not sure whether your using Gmax or 3ds, but for 3ds you use Bluestreak to export the model. @Nexus Halo, higuy, Darkhalo003: this is my first model, you can't expect perfection from a newb. also, I use Gmax -.-
@Scrables: I lol'd so hard.
@Josh: Thank you.

@Josh: Thank you. I'm just saying the model can improve. I'm just passing on the info that has helped me along the way. But for a first model, it isn't half bad. We're just trying to give you advice on how to make it better.

@Josh: Thank you. You need a mentor that ISNT from halomaps or modacity. You should hang around this place. http://boards.polycount.net/

@Dee: well, I know I would benefit from a mentor, but I'm not the person that likes to bother people on simple matters, I'd like a tut or something I can learn by.
