Hey this map is looking good, Can't wait for it. Oh and don't do an outline in the HUD, unless you can make it so you barely notice it like in Halo 3.

All you have to do is edit the opacity of it, that changes how visible it is.

woah! look who found his halo 3 easter eggs!
WAY TO GO!
He's not going to waste space putting in secret rooms, this was meant to be a remake for Halo CE using Halo 1 style gameplay on a Halo 3 map with Halo 3 weapons of course :p but still if he put a secret room in the map then that would take away from the gameplay because half of red team would be attacking blue for the flag while others are spamming WHERES THE SECRET ROOM or IM IN TEH SECRET ROOM BE JELUS!!!

Well in my opinion the chopper does fire like a ghost but it moves more like a warthog...

Useless posts are useless. No secret rooms. He explained why. If its not acceptable, I suggest you leave these forums. Because you'll get a lot of that here.

agreed, good example is peril,
such a great map, but, happened today, everyone goes up on that secret room and spams grenades...

I hate secret rooms on well populated or modeled maps. Ruins all of the fun. =/

yeah i agree with them. no secret room. they always ruin the game. but also about sandtrap. are there gonna be mines circling around the map?

Etrusion: It would be easier just add player clipping around the play area to keep people in instead of the mines like in Halo 3, but I cant speak for Grunt so Idk what he plans on doing. I'm not sure if the mines are even possible in CE.

I know this map called "traps" or something, but when you go over this one trap, and explosion kills you.

i think a secret room for credits is ok. for example, snow grove has 2 secret "rooms" and the gameplay is fine. all you have to do is make the secret room reachable only by using dev mode. cause otherwise ppl will be wasting servers on secret rooms. the trick in snow grove is to use devcam to fly to the top of the map, or use "Deathless" cheat to land at the bottom of a pit. and there you can see credits. people only waste servers on secret rooms if...
1. it contains a "cool" weapon
2. it is easy to reach (making the tards that find it feel special enough to "teach" the rest how to reach it)
3. there are too many secret rooms.
4. it has something funny or whierd.<--Family Guy

I actually traced a screenshot of the hud I took in Halo 3.
For the radar, I just need to fix the sweeper mask.
I still need to trace a few more ammo meters, I used some from the Halo 2 HUD made by Polar bear. Im not really going for the bulging effect, as that would be pretty hard to place and alpha. So really, the only curved thing is the radar.

Ignore rocket launcher model.

Notice the reticule, how it flashes, the ammo meter, the radar, the visor, and the shield bar.
