So...looking 500 years into the future with hovering vehicles isn't too farfetched.

and we have a winner. in about 30 years our technology went from playing asteroids using 3 rooms full of computers with tube transistors to little home consoles with the power to render thousands of triangles with lighting and effects while simultaneously allowing the player to interface with the character and sending positioning data over the internet. what can be accomplished in 500 years?

antigravity propulsion is nowhere near within grasp anytime soon.
I see your point, however.

Railguns are also used now. In the most recent update in weapon stuff it's used. Not sure for what though, especially in Iraq.

It does not matter what in real life would happen, but seeing as they can control different dimensions and go faster then the speed of light and cut rift sin space using hyper jumps, I think they can afford a hover car. Also, hornets hover. That's why I love video games. When people say it's supposed to be realistic, it kind of makes me a bit sad. It's stupid how we want virtual reality and yet we can't handle the real world ourselves. =/

just incase any1 cares, I had thought up a lil design for a cool lil...well big, submarine. of course, it has been said before that it would be impossible...or at least very hard to make an operational sub in Halo. My idea was make a foggy dark map and make the sub an aircraft, but use the overall map to act as an "underwater" terrain. but that still wouldn't solve the actual problems with having it really underwater....it's confusing
anyways, its basically like an underwater pelican (same method of rotating motors) and has 3 main decks
bottom lil corridor with small windows and a control for a bottom weapon, a middle corridor between the cockpit and the back area (also with windows), and an upper deck with an observation window, back window and controls to back weapons, hatch with ladder on top, and door on side out onto the deck with a mounted chaingun turret near front, almost above the cockpit.
A back room with a opening door might hold small pods or something, or just seats or weapons, and a nice cockpit, almost similar to that of a longsword, but with much more windows (top, big front one, and sides) with 2 pilot seats, and passenger seats behind.
guns under the cockpit module, and a spotlight too, right at the nose, and torpedo tubes on each side. and headlights on open deck at top, on either side of mounted turret. 4 rotating motors at back, and rotating fins on the side between the middle and lower corridor windows (like a real sub, for once)
it isn't as big as it sounds, like it's kinda small, and the corridors and decks might be cramped. I have a small sketch whipped up and if any1 wants it, i'll try to scan it and post it up. oh, and i call is the "kracken" (big 'K' painted on back fin)
PM me if ur actually interested

That would be awesome, I remember fighting that thing. imagine if that was in a map and everyone had to take it down, on foot, as a team. without it being too overpowered. also, has anyone thought of, or has made a helicopter with side doors, and a drop down ladder? that could seat around 6 people (1 pilot, 1 gunner, and 4 back seats.) (if anyone has seen the Lego helicopter in that one airport Lego set you would know what im talking about) the ladder could drop down by crouching and the doors could open like the pelican's "legs" come down when you are close to the ground...

The helicopter idea is possible. Using the save script as the pelican we can have the ladder marker move down and have it be attacked to a vehicle hint.

k, i have ANOTHER vehicle idea. It is very very very very very very very very very veryv eryvery very very very complicated....about the same size as a Draco but looks like a organized pile of paper-clips, tissues, socks, computer motherboards, and other crap forming a nice-looking, half covenant half human dropship with a cockpit and nose that looks like a parrots's head. as i said, complicated. And i would almost be willing to pay the brave retard who tried to make a 3d model of it ingame. you would need to be like the best programmer. any volunteers :P

that still doesnt require a programmer. it requires a tagger, animater, modeler, and texturer.
