Pretty nice job.
I had the idea for a construction site map. I havent come out with a layout, and it would be interesting. I have to take into concideration it wouldn't be like a modern lot, it would have to be futuristic in a concrete enviroment. But i concidered (and am still concidering) the drivability of construction vehicles (which would be gray and black with warning lights). You may be wondering the advantage of such things.
Simply, its the ability to have moving armor, that can act as barricades, cover, etc. I am also concidering having an excavator that can be used with the arm and rotating base to block snipers' shots, or hit them (or more accuratley, make them have to run for fear of being hit) if you are lucky.
I would have to develop a system of balance, advantages and dangers with the various vehicles. Like i said, they could do things like anti-sniper, be used as a mobile barricade, or get someone across a line of heavy fire safley where its not safe for infantry.
I may have to concider jumpseats. I know that i don't make maps, or anything as of yet, but everything great (usually) started with a concept.

Working on some rendering to get the animation going. I need to make the render time reliable. And the outcomes acceptable. This took about 20 seconds to render on my PC. Hmm. This took 6 seconds. Edited by DEEhunter on Dec 7, 2008 at 02:14 AM

Doesn't look like any UNSC ship ive ever seen. I don't think its a frigate, but freighters arent armed.
As much as i could go on about it, thats still a damned sweet model.

Still looks cool though. Wasnt that just a render he posted of a model made in LightWave that was made by someone else to show its capabilities?

Still looks cool though. I'm sorry guys but there is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with repeating geometry in a model. However, if done in a fashion that it conflicts with the overall design then yes, it needs to be fixed. In this case, however, it fits perfect.

No. I still have the edited geometry with seperate elements. We are still adding to it. The model is rigged though so we cannot make that many edits.

First of all, Ass Crackers?
Second of all, that in no way conforms to UNSC ship design. UNSC ships have their bridges twoards the Bow, usually under their MAC. Second of all, i have a feeling that thing is only a quarter of the tonnage the Dawn or the In Amber Clad has, and those are only Frigates. Third, If my memory serves correct, Pheonix Class serves to define a ships hull - different integrity hulls are in different classes. That hull can't even be a meter thick, i don't think. And the engine layout is all wrong for a UNSC vessel. Not to mention i see something like plama cannons or ion cannons on the side.
Don't get me wrong. Its a F***ING awesome piece of work. I am critisizing and admiring at the same time. I just want to point out it simply can't be a UNSC Warship.
