1)I was born in raised in west Philadelphia
2)I spent most of my childhood on a Playground playing basketball
3)Then a few bully's who up to no good, got into a fight with me
4)My mom then got scared and told me that I was going to move to and rich community with my uncle and aunt
5)afterwards I whistled for a cab and waited for it to come near
6)I got in the cab and noticed it has fuzzy dice in the mirror
7)I arrived at about 7 or 8 and and told the cab driver he smelled bad got my stuff to the front of the door
8)I looked at my kingdom I finally there to settle my throne as the prince of belle air

hey wazzp im new here,but um i got a few ideas. would it be possible for a vehicle to loose parts as it gets damaged. ie if i shoot a rocket at the passenger door and damage it enough with a direct hit, can it be possible to make that part fall off? so its like car body panels?
also if certain parts are damaged vehicle looses alot of stability or power(ie tires/engine?)if so how would it be done? i dont know if this is mentioned somewhere, but i searched didnt find anything. im kinda of a nub when it comes to this stuff.

You would need to make permutations of the model and do some stuff that makes it fall off or disappear when the vehicle takes enough damage. I'm not completely sure how it all works, but there are maps with destructable vehicles.

darn. wat about when a vehicle dies parts go flying? liek their own aprts so they bounce and stuff, or would that not be able to be done too? ie it explodes adn phyiscs or somthig s applied to chucnks froma dead mesh? id unno.....srry for bad spelling kinda rushin atm lool

its actually kinda possible...it requires alot of scripting and tagging tho.

i've seen it done with some h2 map vehicles
you have to edit the collision model
change the damaged and destroyed effects for each region (set up in 3ds max)
*region names should be easy to remember like left_door*
then you have a vehicle modeled of the part you want destroyed that spawns with the effect
(remember the physics tag!!)

so i would have to model the car in parts(at least parts that fly off?) and make a second model that makes each part their own vehicle? all other or each is seperate in corrosponding area?
