I would still like to see those Dracos though... one on the ground, one in the CoQ... I guess. (The idea I have is one team is on the CoQ, the other has a ground base of some sort)

More damage should go to the players inside those dracos and YOU MUST NERF THE WEAPONRY!!!!!!!!
Seriously, simply replacing that nuke cannon with a spectre cannon makes it much nicer (spectre cannon being like a gattling laser turret I suppose...)

I dunno, I came up with these off of the top of my head.

you can use permutations to make players spawn as random bipeds, but all players who spawn as spartans or bipeds with the exact same animation graphs, etc. would have an advantage as they can do everything better and faster.


Marines cannot even bichord (moving forward/backward and strafing either left or right at the same time), and elites have craptastic melees and grenade throws.

It would, but I have NO idea how. If someone wants to do it and it works good, then i'll be glad to use it rather than the Spartan. I've been expanding even more the BSP... interior... it's going better than ever :)
We still need help for vehicle tagging, syncing elevators and scenery modelling/tagging.

One quick question tho: how do you make it so the interior is not all pitch black? I know there's a way to edit the material so radiosity goes through it but I don't know how nor does Terrel... So I figure I should ask.

maybe edit the sky tag and set it to "affects interiors"? or change the indoor ambient color to something other than black.

Thanks alot for the tip. Doesn't seem to do much.. what I remember reading was about the materials properties... I'll keep messing with the properties but it doesn't lit the most enclosed rooms much.

As for vehicle tagging, we have noone doing at the moment. Some of the stuff we want to tage is nearly secret while some other is public knowledge... we could also use help on the vehicle modelling department. Just message me on xfire for details:P

Cheats, if you could get on xFire i'd appreciate hehe

I'm reluctant in using a biped that will not strafe... the change in gameplay would be annoying. Same for crouching....

as for Hdoan, i think I read in his topic he wasn't giving anyone any of his bipeds. He's already got the Halo 2 marines done...I'm looking into Halo 2 maps for models that could be used either as scenery or other things. Some nice stuff I guess hehe...

To make things look better, I thought about using In Amber Clad's bridge. Problem is, it's grossly unsealed and has to be matched with he CoQ itself. It includes other errors such as double edges... many actually and I can't fix those.

I took most of the day off, anyway, to be able to work at 100% on it tomorow.

NO! That would be terrible! Especially the jump sideways thing... If you want that, just... move sideways and jump >_>... unless you are talking about dive, but that would still be a terrible thing...

saluting... ok that would be nice...

the anim replacements would be bad too...

You can make it so that you spawn as any biped at random.

I haven't seen any maps do that...that would be cool. Just a bunch of elites, spartans, and maybe a brute running around shooting eachother. I was also thinking if you could make a script that would spawn the one team onto a biped, bump_possession it, and then your body would go away as soon as you got into the elite. But I'm not sure if that would work due to only the host being able to bump_possess cleanly.
(P.S: Why aren't you guys at school? I've got 1ft of snow here :D)

To do that, you'd have to:
A) Be the host to bump possess one
B) Mod the map to play as one then get people to download it
Now I want to go try to bump possess Guilty Spark....Sentinels can be possessed, has anyone tried 343?

I like the idea of spawning random bipeds... If someone knows HDoan and can get him to share a little it would be nice to add some variants to the game ( Ie having SPARTANs ODST and Marines) in the biped spawn pool... Starting the ground part of BSP now... Had a great concept idea :)

Also, I tryed editing the sky, I changed nearly all the parameters to make them at levels they would in theory be un bearable yet it wasn't enought to lit the Citadel's deeper sections.
As for light fixture, can someone explain me how they work or post a small text tutorial on their use?

Anyway, back to BSP!

Plenty of people know HDoan, but he's not the only one who can rip a biped and rig it, while adding some light and other things to make it look like the it did in the game he ripped said biped from.

u cant play as all the random bipeds u want....they must have the same bones.....so u cant make it spawn elite-spartan randomly......not even marine-spartan

There is no reason why they cant make a map with gameplay, and have RPG elements in it.

Doors with controls may not sync but seriously, how much would 1 measly non-syncing door change a map? Choose wisely.

I tryed what selentic told me to do... had errors and exporter crash so I tryed modifying the sky tag... I also textured the sea floor. the result? after 2 hours of lightmaps, I was at 52.78.

hey, lol, 54.2 now. The threshold is .9. it's atleast 2 weeks before completion... there's gotta be an error

anyway here's how i did hoping to get faster results for lightmaps... made all shaders radiosity level 'Turd'. Going much faster. I'm at 22.8 now:d


Besides, the offer is still up. we need someone to tag/model vehicles to put in it...

Yeah I guess... but I like to test around to see if everything can be climbed and see how characters behave. anyway, i set all detail to ''Turd'' and in 1 hour they're run now.
