If people want to find some way to abuse sprint, they're free to do so. Please don't nerf sprint so that it runs out quickly. Don't do it for the sake of balance. Spartan IIs are known for their preternatural stamina resulting from the augmentation process, and I think the gameplay should at least reflect that.

In a way it already does. I've been playing "Metro 2033" lately, which makes an effort to feel realistic. (The gas-mask and flashlight mechanics require you to switch out filters and recharge like every 5 minutes, it can be grueling). In that game, your default forward speed is as "walk" by Halo's standards and you have to hold down the "run" button to go the Chief's standard speed.

Cheif's standard ability to tank ridiculous amounts of damage (even without a shield!) and run indefinitely, are superhuman in and of themselves.

This thread is living proof of the power of the hype machine.

TSCE team
>epic new bsp
>epic original easter eggs
>epic encounters
>epic tags
>little hype. Little fanfare, moderate after party.

CMT team
>one old map from 2012
>hype machine subsequently put on turbo mode
>pages upon

>pages of hype

Trailer, similiar to the "Tv Spot" I put up recently on youtube.

I wanted to have some level gameplay up last month, but new job + moving is keeping me pretty occupied. The pre-internal beta has been going on for about a week now, we've had some new crashes in it but gameplay and mission wise people have been very happy and the feedback has been very helpful. A wave of new assets is going ingame soon as well, so you'll see some of that at CE3.

Is Spv3 A10 going to have an improved version of Captain Keyes, or is he going to stay the same as he was in Halo 1?

do you ever quit? you look pathetic. if you don't like what the guy is doing with the project, and you don't have anything substantial to contribute to the discussion, then don't say anything, let alone childishly berate him on his methods of producing content.

I'd recommend changing the PP melee animation, to the punch with the other hand. The default HCE one in evolved looked weird.

real life sucks, and a critical task has been delayed due to kirbys real life jobs, I am hoping to get a video out this weekend discussing what is going on with the project however. Also the grizzly is finally being modeled, and the covenant sniper rifle may be cut.

It's because of the fact that the Halomaps server was down for a while.

Nope, we have pretty much pushed the scripts to the limit. The likely AU set will be

Sprint
Radar
Camo
Regen
VISR
Reflex Booster

Shield EMP is out currently, and the Sentry has been cut.

Thruster Pack and Jetpack are both doable but would be to game breaking to inclide

3 full time jobs; 35+40+40, 115 hours a week. I have 7 and a half hours to sleep every night. Hopefully it will be down to about 90 hours a week next week.

Computerz.

In college, research grant stuff. That ends mid-july, 35 hours a week.
Contract to make some stuff for the kids summer camp stuff, they want the majority of it done (stuff for the first camp) end of next week, that will be a bit less work then.
Then, local business that I worked with during school in my projects course, internship till september. 40 hours a week.

And NDAs everywhere.

Then, september, back for moooarr school, as I start my Masters degree.

I had an idea concerning the Sgt. Johnson cutscene that always has to be scrapped. Would it be that hard to create in using the appropriate tags in a dummy map, and then record it as part of an intro .bik file? Maybe throw in some other things as part of a pre-game cinematic?

Yeah there's really nothing like in game rendering for cinematics, I didn't appreciate the H2A pre-rendered ones and I hope they won't have pre-rendered cinematics in H5...

About that PoA gameplay sequence, it just looks amazing, you guys rock asses and I think I'll have the best time of my life playing SPv3

I really like this idea of old covenant tech for the Brutes, it makes me think about Marathon and the whole caste by races system the Pfhors have, I think it makes the universe feel deeper and this is one of the things Halo had less compared to Marathon. Maybe you guys could scatter a few terminals in your levels, they'd be filled with observations made by Guilty Spark about the recent visitors on his installation? Observations about how the humans behave and how the covenants behave and what they think about the Halo (and maybe one in the PoA to explain further the Reach events)?

I also had an idea for a skull, would it be possible to make a skull that'd make the player start every level without weapons and force him to find some on his own? I think it could be funny.

Oh and one more thing, do you guys think it'd be appropriate to send the final copy of SPv3 to Bungie and 343 to thank them and ask for feedbacks?
