The first wave of SPV3 maps will drop 2-3 months after TSC:E is released.

He announced we can expect to see b40 in the first wave of maps, not that we can expect the first wave of maps

I would estimate TSCE's completion at considerably more than 1-2 months away.

We're not keeping them a secret, and certainly are not holding onto them for a 'release trailer'. This has been said many times: the artist who was doing them for us disappeared (along with them) due to personal issues for quite a long time. Semi-recently we got what progress he had made back from him, and have added it back to our set of stuff to do; however they're just not done yet and so we're not going to show off something that's already been shown off and hasn't progressed much since then.

At CE3 we announced 2 new weapons, one being our new Particle Carbine which is a cross between the Beam Rifle and the Carbine.

Isn't that simply a reusable Regenerator from Halo 3 in a compact package?

The particle carbine has the range and accuracy of the sniper, but does very little damage, so it's pretty much a headshot only weapon.

We don't plan to bring in the drop shield/regen field/bubble shield, we are trying to stay away from anything that encourages a restriction of movement or long cool down times.

While the flashlight replacement system we have can be used for stuff like that, I don't know if we want to have both Equipment like H3 and AA's. As of now, we have no way to print to the HUD other than player help text when something is in inventory, whether it be an AA, Equipment, or Perk (which is really more of what the h2/3 health system AA is).

so I heard you say that the visual features OS provides can be disabled, will the be an extras menu for that? or just command line provided?

woot! time to use open sauce on a laptop with only an intel i3... yep... just gonna keep bein awesome... XD ...with mysterious file space consumption everyday... idk where 25gb of my hard drive went...

take the dinput 8.dll out of the data folder.

That seems awfully high. Same thing happens to me but I only lose/gain several hundred MB.

The H3 Grunts are being used as placeholders for the eventual real new Grunts. We want our Grunts to have multiple backpacks. Thus, to help stand in for that, I added a hacked version of the stock H3 backpack which is bent.
