This is a project to pretty up Equipment for the stock tagset. Nothing too special, the only advanced bit is the post-processing shader I'm writing for Full-Spectrum Vision.

I look very forward to seeing this. I wish more people would show this much interest in OS.

I wish OS was pirate friendly but hey, we can't have it all can we?

Of the registered users on right now, at least 50% of them make/have made custom content.

i personally think porting is a good way for someone to practice their skills of rigging, animating, exporting, etc before they go on to make custom objects. i plan to do custom tags later on but it would speed the process of putting it in game if i already had some experience of setting up a vehicle, weapon, or biped for export, so to get that experience i am porting vehicles to practice.

i really don't understand why people are arguing over this so much. its just a simple personal preference and if you don't like it then B!@#$ about it to yourself, why argue.

oh and about that 90 percent some people may not want to spen the time to learn how to model

Here's my two cents on the subject. I don't have a problem with ports, sometimes I port stuff as well. I also don't have any issues with people like waffles who port stuff for fun or request. I do however have a problem with people who try to show off by porting, pretending that the ability to put a ripped model into a game somehow makes them better than everyone else.

While I do agree that porting sometimes makes people not want to put any effort into custom models, that's not as big of a problem as long as they are willing to learn something such as animation.

That's all I have to say about that.

Sandtrap is an old map now anyways. I would love to see a Halo 4 map recreated when the time comes. Reach isn't worth a mention.

Actually the bitmaps were made by Chocolate Thunda, MooseGuy just used them in his map (which is what they were made for anyway).

Still, it looks great L28!

Let's just say its a collaboration between the 3 of us. I submitted design/layout parameters to L28. He then created the main ingame menu from this. The base button design and weapon icons are from Choco Thunda from Firefight Descent. I took those and repurposed them for this menu, fashioning the item buttons. I got the menu-related bitmaps (dialog box, arrows, etc) and redid them, making the dialog box and other buttons compliment eachother. Thunda is going to work on making the missing item icons I need to create the rest of the buttons.

All of these efforts are combining to form what you will be seeing. The best things come through working together.

I got to work on an OS version of my HUD. Apparently the widescreen fix shows more than intended, so I had to re-do the visor to compensate.

Before: (ignore the white lines, those are a test to see if it even worked)

It doesn't by default. o.O

That's up to players. So what you should really have said is that you wish players(Like me, muahahaha) wouldn't mess with the Field of View. :/

Umm, no.. I don't think you know what you're talking about.

I was asking jesse why he made the sides of the visor slant down when going more horizontally would look a bit better and more fitting for the mark vi helmet.

It's because the Halo 3 visor is already bent in that direction on the bottom, I just extended it by continuing the line as if it were never interrupted.

I'm also re-doing some of the elite bitmaps, but fortunately Halo 3 uses the same ones for most things (except visor, shields and grenades).
