How does this selenium substance interact with brain, how does it move around to the brain ect.
... also after reading ur post, every time someone says "I feel like a zombie" I'm going to think "brain tumor"

It enters the bloodstream and follows it up into the brain where it starts growing basically. And it isn't exactly a tumor it's more like a brain or like another life form (Almost like the flood). If I can find the book I got on it(wherever it may be) I can go into further details.

No need for further details, just needed the basics, anywho, if you were to use this style of move positions, what BSP do you think it would be good on?

(im getting a lot of opinions today (lol))

I was meaning as in an example BSP or something along those lines, not percificly a custom or original BSP.

Newbkilla, I haven't seen the movie your referencing this from but I wanted to say it reminds me of the bay in the end of Alien Resurrection.

What happened with the old one btw?

I still have the old one, I just wanted to start another piece of work. Pandorum was a 2009 film, same people who made Resident Evil.

While not Halo related, this is what I'm currently working on as far as environment art.


Halo related though! I have a few map design's I've been massing out and planning on play testing in the near future. Oh and I apologize about the horrible radiosity, if someone would like to help me get better quality lightmaps I'd appreciate it!

Imo the last pic looks pretty bad. Not becuase of lightmaps, but in terms of gameplay... as far as I can see the area is pretty open base to base, not many vantage points, and very little variation. If I were you, I would make it a swamp like place with tall trees and green fog. Keep the open area, but add a few tall structures in the middle somewhat to stop the very large open field sniping base to base.

The second one looks nice also, but like in the first, very little variation in gameplay and also very small.

Your environment art looks nice though, great work so far. You should add some kind of like structure on the right side, like an outhouse or shed. Would make the composition a a lot better. I would also find a better general day lighting (maybe some kind of light blue) to counteract against the yellow bulbs floating in the air.

The last pic's map needs more cover in the middle, much like how Hemorrhage needs more cover in the central area.

ya i kinda agree on that no offence but i like the mixer with Emile , Master Chief , Johnson , and that girl because they could like survivors from places and they met its left 4 dead its cool when you think about it

Indeed there is, here is how.

Make a object,
make a spline that will act as the path the object is to be spaced along, i use circles a lot.
select the object,
view tab, spacing tool.
pick the path (spline)
check follow, rotate the original object, check copy.
add more, and adjust.
note, You must be in the spacing tool window to see the reults in viewport.

I happened to make a piece of bsp based off of the same picture.
I didn't put the front barriers in, though... it wouldn't be fair in this special gametype.

NO, this doesn't mean that Generator Facility is canceled because it most certainly is not. It is still being worked on. Slightly reworked actually.

Looks decent. When it gets ingame make sure to add some decals, like little splotches of oil and other things. And while I cant see inside the first picture, make sure to have a bulletin board and computers, desks, etc.

Well I do plan on having such things, but not necessarily in the first building. That is more a bunk building. The other obviously a garage. I plan to have a separate, slightly larger control/mess hall area and possibly a two story part somewhere that has a generator for the equipment and maybe a small comm tower. Then I guess I will just metal gate it off, have some peeled back parts of the gate, etc, etc, and then try and find some good inland tropical trees or maybe make some.
Making the boundaries of this map will be the hardest part. Maybe at the road I will do something like CoD and have a felled tree or something and make a collision plane so you can't jump over it.

Does it matter who I take crit from? In fact, it's BEST to take crit from younger people because they are the ones who play these games the most. Sure it says M for mature but I guarantee most of these games are played by an equal amount of people under the rated age so their opinions matter to me. And being the person I am, anyone's crit really matters to me. As to whether I take it and actually do something accordingly, that is all up to me, but hearing others opinions before entering an alpha stage is what can help to make sure your map doesn't STAY in the alpha stage forever.

Also, I don't really come here to troll the forums, I come here to post works and answer questions and respond to comments about it. When I am not working or doing something around the home I REALLY just don't have anything better to do than either play halo (or crysis 2 :P) and go around the forums checking out other peoples work. I bet looking on my whole time here at halomaps I am about 90 - 95% constructive.

Does anyone think that the cleats on the walls are a bit much? I like the ones on he rafters, but I think the cleats on the walls is more than needed.
