1: he said he's going to be using that model to make a bump for the MC shaders. 2: not everyone can use OS, for instance, i'd love to but i can't. 3: how did a bipeds wip thread become a threatening situation? I mean i've heard of people getting defensive about their stuff, but for real? this is outrages, even for a bunch of testosterone hyped teenage guys.

Oh so sad I missed a pointless flame war. Again !
But yeah my model was OBVIOUSLY looking like the halo CEA MC. Sorry I didnt notice it was that close !...

And it's the standard H1 model, I just made that bump map using GIMP and many tools of pathes etc...

It's really, really long to make... and the final version will need a lot of adjustements with contrasts and blur, but I'll make something nice I bet ;)

for those who wants to try it...

why he's dead already and ingame he would just be killed and killed its not like if we are going to make him escape during series of singleplayers and what a hell no one is going to give a damn about a dead terrorist being placed in a ten years old engine for just getting killed again an again until the end of Halo ce

Just because we don't put it in game doesn't mean that he will somehow be forgotten. We play games with terrorists and nazis in them all the time, just because this one has a name tagged on him doesn't mean we cant do anything with it. It's just more custom content.

Im wondering what game i could rip some decent militiamen out of?

Probably the only American soldier I would respect is Captain Winters of E Company. With the help of the paratroopers and the 501st Airbourne, he took down 3 Nazi AA and Machine Gun camps, and made the invasion of Normandy a whole lot easier by getting rid of Nazi Occupations near the Normandy coastline.


I would suggest looking into such figures as Ernest E. Evans of the USS Johnston.

And this is exactly what i saw coming, the same thing that happened when he was killed. People posting their opinions as to weather or not he deserved it. How about this, it's a biped, someone made it, it's in the bipeds wip thread, so it's still in progress, meaning it'll probably go in-game, end of story, what's done is done and there's no sense starting an argument about it. So lets stop pointless arguments.

You need to remake the whole animation set if you want everything to work.
At last reexport or add nodes in guerilla.

You can add at the same time an overlay animation making the jetpack deploy when flashlight function is activated; so you have everything fine :D

Sorry, I told him to use boxes already for the collision over xfire yesterday, but I forgot to say that you must only export the bones/nodes, markers, and the collision boxes, so you either hide the mesh or delete it (I'd delete it and save another copy of the 3ds max scene)

DO NOT USE THE MODEL AS A COLLISION!

waste of tagspace, and totally unnecessary.

collision models use the same rules as a bsp's collision. that means they must not have any edge errors.

they really dont need to be detailed at all, just approximate to where if you hit near the model geometry it registers.

^ collision model for the h2 heretic elite (custom), basically just boxes. you also need to make sure the collision mesh is either linked manually to moving parts/bones, or skinned like a regular model mesh. must also have the same regions as the original model (cyborg only has one region so it really doesnt matter here).

oh and restart 3ds max if you get that export error. it happens randomly from time to time

Yeah I deleted the mesh and left only the boxes so it went through and compiled fine. The only problem left is the animations...

E: Oh with the rocket nodes, do I link them to the pelvis or to the spine? Because when I imported the animations to the biped, the nodes were moving everywhere and not staying put.
