I would of liked them to have more detail on the texture while yes th halo 3 ones do look like plastic. People say they hated reach sPartans but atleast they had nice battleworn textures.

Reach looked the best out of all the games, as they toned down the normal maps, and instead used textures a bit more to give the look of depth. So metal actually looked like metal, instead of really shiny plastic...

Halo 3 is the best example of plastic looking materials due to everything being rather shiny to show of the normal maps...

Its WAAAAAAY too hi-poly to put in out Halo from the looks of it. I would not get the point of having it ingame anyway. :P


Well that shows you don't know much... it's not too highpoly at all...

Hunter, might I just ask, what the hell tutorial did you watch to make that?
And on a second note, are you going to ditch your security guard Job and try out as a 3D modeller?


Didn't watch a tutorial, just modelled a blockout, rather basic, stuck it in zBrush, and then re-topped it.

And security is only a night job, im starting back University in September, changes course to a VFX course.

anyone seen this before?

elites have those wrist E-swords vs spartans and these retractable blades.
unnecessary yes but its still kinda cool.

What is that from, and why has nobody made one yet?

Even foregoing the wrist blades and possibly the bone necklace, the helmet decal itself would be kinda cool.

The reflection map is supposed to brighten it up. Not the color itself.

Looks great, but maybe a little more dark green and a little less other colors in the color change, i'm still getting a "too much brown' look from it. Maybe it's just me, but i think the green should be a richer color. Look at yours verses the ingame h3 one waffles posted. Just sayin'
