@newb: yup :) @1337: here is about the only crit I can give you. Don't use side views to model things. I can promiss you. It will turn out flat. Go ahead and make an ugly weapon, and learn from it instead of copying a side view. As far as me and hunter having 'talent'... Honestly there are a bunch of people on these 2 sited that are the same or better. Hell, I go on some other art sites and I feel ahamed of my work. Not that it's even great. My low poly is to low and I have to many floaters on my high. Just goes to show, that even though I made mistakes making something crappy, i learned from it. I hope I don't sound like a douche. And hunter don't take it the wrong way, love your models. (yours to newbkilla. =3)
-typed on mobile so might have mistakes. :p

its not a flat plane, its just because I set transparency to 60 and then rendered using advanced lighting which makes it look flat.

So just because "don't have a high poly sub model to bake it to" means its not low poly then what is it? If there are not very many polys then it is low poly. If there are tons of polys then it is high poly. So what is it if it isn't low poly? -Skidrow

-typed on mobile so might have mistakes. :p haha i was just showing to him past work that I can model. those are pretty old. I really enjoy environment work better than guns anyway, because you can seriously be as creative as you wwant. but yes, my one gun in particular is just like 1337's, it is flat and all, loooks awesome from a side view, but in a fp postion, its like a 12 year olds boobs. look at perspective viewed images of the guns, it will really help.

I'm not a huge fan of the magazine-out, waaaay too lively. I doubt anybody would attempt to take out the magazine like that anyway, looks like it would damage the weapon.
But the model is quite amazing.

Quote: --- Original message by: Gamma927Something he made up. Edited by Gamma927 on Sep 4, 2010 at 05:22 PM It makes no sense how the bolt is at the front, or even why this even has a bolt. The SMG is caseless so it doesnt need a bolt to push and eject casings because the smg has none... Plus, you cant have the bolt at the front, unless the clip feeds into the font (making it very VERY inaccurate unless without a long barrel.) E: no offense... Its a great concept, but how the gun works is something that should be known at basics before you start concepting.... No offense. Edited by Shade117 pro on Sep 4, 2010 at 07:06 PM
