How do you actually do that? Like implementing the effect, not put everything in the functions slots.

Not entirely accurate, but meh. It was just a little side project I did to take a break from halo stuff. E: and ignore the foregrip. I removed that but I can't be bothered to re-render and re-upload. Edited by UnevenElefant5 on Aug 25, 2010 at 08:34 PM

I figured I could aford to have those curvy edges since the gun was pretty low detail for the most part, and I just did a chamferbox because it was easier and more effective than doing it manually.

i like it but dont like the way the foregrip attaches. just looks like it was crazy-glued on(which does work) what do u guys think of me doing a revolver that ejects shells. so u load 5 rounds into it. flip it closed. then fire, ejecting each round like a normal handgun. y? i dont know, thought it be interesting

Most of those curvy edges will do you no good. Good use of smooth groups can make it look fine without having 10+sided cylinders for anything round. depends on how close to the viewer the object is, AND it depends on if youre looking at the object's silhouette too. in this case, youre mainly looking at the curvature of the cylinder you used for the metal part on top, so if you model it in high poly then render normal maps, you can give the impression of a MUCH smoother bar with like 1/3 the sides.

I shortened the magazine because when I had it to the ref's length, it was really cumbersome and I wanted to animate it, so I shortened it a bit. Also what do you mean about the stock being short?

Then I don't understand what you mean by short. Do you mean like, short as in height, or short as in length?
Yes I know it was in the picture, thanks for pointing that out. If you read the post, you will notice that I added a little "E: blah blah blah" on the bottom saying that I had already taken off the foregrip and that you should ignore it.

OK fold the stock out like it is when firing with it out. Then notice the it is not as long as the normal stocks on MAC-10s or at least from the ones I have seen. As is, it is not as tall (I think) as normal MAC-10s. -Skidrow
