I liked the Reach pistol anims :(

Just the reload was sort of weird.

Also, is it just me, or does that Reach spiker seem to overheat? Do want.

How many ways can you honestly animate a weapon without making it look stupid? It's a weapon that reloads from the bottom, that has two bayonet blades made for slashing, and is massive in the hands of a human being. Please tell how you can animate it that differently. There are certain ways you have to use weapons and the animations are just one of the certain ways. It's like how you have to reload Halo's rocket launcher: there's really only one way in doing it, as in comparison to the Pistol which can be animated in a ton of different ways?

No. There's plenty of ways to do it. For instance, your "rocket launcher" example. IMBrokeRU has a custom rocket launcher animation, which, of course, he lost / overwrote / got his dog to eat it. However, I still have the render. Halo CE rocket launcher animations also differ from Halo 3 animations. That's three different ways to do it already. If you're talking about the simple "get the tube off and back on", Broke's already done another way for that. As long as you have the inspiration, the creativity, and the time, you can and always will find another way.

Yeah, now it's even MORE of a Lancer ripoff >:C /lolsarcasm

Also, what ICEE said. There are fp and 3p animators in CE, but I'm pretty sure they teach you the same way when you get into professional grade learning.

Indeed I do admit ICEE to be right here, because I am being a bit unfair in saying the fp animations suck because it's very likely (or probably is true) that the animator(s) are also caught up doing all the new vehicles and other objects.

Though I'm still angered gravely..

Still its annoying to me how you whine constantly about the animations when we already understand but you keep on rolling out to the 100th time you said it(?)

There is SOME animations I don't like that much but I don't whine massively about it, you should have contacted bungie with a nice letter when the beta was going.

But originally halo reach was just to port over halo 3 assets and upgrade them which letho thought no.

Thats not my point at all. What I'm saying is, FP animation is just a drop in the bucket of animation types. I don't think its any excuse for a paid animator to give subpar FP animation just because they're busy, but its also wrong to judge their overall skill based purely off of FP animation. It's like saying you're a bad writer just because you don't write poetry.

Also, keep in mind the Reach engine may work very differently from the ones we're accustomed too; things currently in the engine (considering it's not modified for intense editing like HCE's) affect how other things may work in the engine. That's why ambient life like Porcupines and Squirrels were removed, even though they've been done in the past AND seem very simple.

Why did you take CMT's sniper and remove the scope to add a BR scope to mimic a ACOG and add a silencer?

Put the ammo counter on the left side (parallel to the gun, not extending outward from it) like the M41A Pulse Rifle in Aliens.
