it needs to be a lot brighter, too. For example, here's my plasma pistol (that I never finished)

and here's how it looks ingame

Eh, all you have done as far as I can tell if put the unwrap in photoshop and added block colours... And afew shapes... use the burn tool and other tools to add shapes like IV's.

And you can't say its because it is your first covi skin... here is my first skin EVER...

why does photobucket kill picture quality :C

under the upload option set it to upload as a 1 mb file. this usually works for everything up to 2048x2048 .jpgs from max

Although I would be worried if he was drawing circuits and electronic diagrams with the title "Bomb" on the train, people would probably move away from him :P haha

I made this energy sword, I would've took some more screen shots, but once I saved this photo, I closed max, (and as the idiot I am) I didn't save, so next time you see more energy sword pics from me, it won't be the original model I made...

Doesnt look much like an energy sword, the blades don't move away from each other, the handle is smaller and it is not as blocky, it has a smooth covy design. It is ok I guess.

Looks more like energy scissors

Man, I found out that my 3ds max keeps closing every time I save a file, export, or even save a rendered image, And yesterday I made 3 different energy swords for NOTHING.

2 suggestions to this:
1. Reinstall 3ds max
2. check your comp for viruses

Haha, I remember I doodled 2 stick figures with lightsabers cause I was bored and my teacher said I couldn't draw violent images. They weren't even fighting, it was just 2 stick figures standing around with sticks in their hands :S

I never understood how someone could skin something like that, if they didn't know where each piece went. I'm having trouble identifying the parts.

Donut, just don't text to him, or he'll start acting up.

oo my bad i didnt see how many people had on topic comments before i said that. im not being sarcastic this time either
E: ok i know im good at one thing: forgetting what i was originally going to post then posting something completely different. what i was originally going to say is as follows:

Geard, i like your work, and now i have a suggestion. on the render where you have the colorful rifle, the yellow thing that i can only assume is the grip on the blue part sticks out in a not so pretty kind of way. the next step in getting better at modeling would be to work that grip part into the mesh of he blue part of the gun. im not just saying to make some lines and extrude either, im saying look at the flow of the geometry, and make an ergonomic grip that looks natural.

Or if they don't have max or a 3d application then I guess people colour code the parts :/

Since the elites have 4 fingers it goes in the middle to seperate 2 fingers on each side. Look closely in halo 2/3. It's there.
