First Reach port (not counting character dialog)

Things I that I am aware of:

*needs better shaders

*numbers are messed up

*animations are unfitting for it

Sorry for low quality picture. Not the point of this screenshot (I'm not trying to show off how pretty it is)

why do I never remember the dmr being in halo reach?

I just sauced this weapon today soon I'm going to make a new glass shader and animate the scope better for a more realistic look.




It's sorta hard to show off the OS in a picture more less need a video. but I'm to lazy.

Hey Yoda, that's some good work on the Nagant so far. I think you should also make strip clips for it, as well as a version with the original WWII scope.

Removed numbers cause I don't want to muck around with that. :P

Animations are more fitting and I added a super shiny scope.

To-Do-List:
*fix shell ejection (not working)

*somehow get the ophandle and the magazine to work in animations

*fix muzzle flashes (at this time, they don't work)

Would you mind looking at my .max file to see if there's anything I didn't do correctly?

I have a feeling that I forgot to do something in Max (which caused parts of the gun not to animate, and broke muzzle flashes and shells)

First of all, the shader is much too glossy. To the point where it looks like aplastic toy. :/

Second, the lens flares look extremely tacky and bad. The back one looks decent, however the front ones need to be adjusted to the size and shape of the red better. They should also be much dimmer. And don't forget to put self illumination in the multipurpose for those places!

the results could be interesting

I have.

That glare was because I turned the flashlight on.

OS is being used in the shader_extention.

But as far as bloom go's I am not sure how to use it.

I already have the strip clips and bullets modelled and textured (well... little bit of texture work left on those too), I just didn't include them in the render because there isn't really anything impressive about them :D You'll see them when I finish the textures and start animating. I'll probably post animation videos to get feedback.

The bolt works as it should (all the right parts move/don't move), but the chamber/internals and such are very simple because the player wont really see them.

I considered making the sniper variation, wouldn't take too much work I suppose. Just bend the bolt and add the scope. But if I do that it will be after I finish this version.

I know man I'm not that good at modeling plus there is not much I can work from. I'm only useing the reach ar body as a place holder for now. The only weapons that I did that was good are the dc15 clone blasters and the halo 4 br I posted a few pages back.
