Saw his ages ago, his is good only problem is that his edges are WAY too slack. Tbf, mine are a bit too tight.
His scope is also weird :S
My file is also available. His is just a highpoly that you cant put ingame, mine has a lowpoly included. Edited by OHunterO on Jul 31, 2012 at 12:50 AM

My only issue with the animations is that it seems like the gun is way too light. It seems like it should be much heavier and more cumbersome to handle. At the moment it looks like it ways about a pound :P

Haha, welcome to Halo CE, where there's more to animating than the simple "Ready, Fire, Reload" of that pesky game CS:S. It has poisoned you, and you don't know how to make proper throws and melees. First, the melee...it makes no sense. Are you trying to jab them with the barrel? The blunt barrel that could do something but otherwise just looks awkward? Take a look at Halo 1's melee, as well as Halo 2 and 3, where they use the butt of the gun for a really powerful swing. This is something you want to move more towards instead of jabs which don't make much sense unless there's a bayonet (which there isn't). You can always go crazy and swing it by the barrel in the way that you might swing a hammer as well. No really, go crazy. Now the throw: it looks pretty lethargic, much more so than any of your animations I normally see. Don't be afraid to move the sniper further off the screen. I think a good one to look at for something like what you've done is Broke's grenade throw for his AR animations ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hy-nTxMSq0A&feature=plcp ). Notice how it goes further off, and yes I know the aspect is like 4:3 or something similar, and how the arm is maybe in the screen for around 3-4 frames. That's a good amount you should shoot for to make it look fast but not too fast. The arm should be out more and stuff like that, but you can always add variations. Again, go wild but make it look aesthetically pleasing and not...aesthetically disgusting if that even makes sense.

I suggest a melee attack similar to the Halo 1 rocket launcher's melee.animation.Uses the weight of the gun rather effectively for combat. An swinging attack like that is certainly more effective than poking. In CS,for guns, there are no need for melee or nade throw animations.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_fYjhPP0GUFor those of you curious how I do my throw grenades. DO IT EXACTLY HOW I DO, INCLUDING TALKING TO THESE PEOPLE. This isn't really one of my more favorite throw grenades, but it's because I generally wait a day after making it to polish it and fix it up before putting it ingame. The overall idea's still here, I guess.

Haha, no problem. Good to know that someone's benefiting from this :D
It wasn't until I started revising the animation that I realized how atrociously slow it was >> One thing I'd change if I were to modify that animation is decrease the time it takes for the gun to jump to its right position, speed up the overall throw, and reduce the delay between the throw and the return to origin.

Also, anyone have suggestions for the "other" weapon shown near the end of the video?
