Hi everyone im Perla117

now it's been a year that i work on the map TSC:E-Multiplayer and it is time to release the first version and my first map.

After CMT Released TSC:E, i decided to start modding halo and convert the first two bsps of the mission and merge them together to create a multiplayer map.
It was not so easy for a begginer even because i start alone to work on this project.
After my firt thread about the project, (that you can find it here: http://forum.halomaps.org/index.cfm%3Fpage=topic&topicID=48616) i start working with the sbb team, Altis, Kinnet, SoI_7 and other people that help me finish what i had started.
It was a lot of work learn how to use 3ds, guerilla, sapien, combine the bsps, add some custom modification to the bsp, adjust portals, put all scenery, tags, sounds, remove all OS shaders and so on... (i have improved a lot during this year)
The map has like 70.000 polys and it is at the limit of the halo engine.
I said at the limit because if i try to add one more weapon tag or vehicle tag, the game exceeds the model data limit and the map crash before you can join.
The map is very big, it use the original texture of the mission and cmt tags that help improve gameplay and graphics, to take haloCE into a next level on the multiplayer side.
Altis, Kinnet, SOI_7 and sbb team they help me a lot with guerilla, Sapien, mod the tags, create new scenery, animation, sound, remove unused tags to save space, fix exceptions, fix bugs, test the map and a lot of other things...
My goal for this project was to convert this map in a .map and make it work in multiplayer.
All gametypes are supported and there are tree different lightmaps and skys dipend on what gametype you chose.
Sprint is also working with sapp on my server that it will be up 24/24 hours and 7/7 days. (thanks to altis for the lua script)

Oddball with morning sky

Race with day sky


Recommended Players:

Team Game: 8vs8 or 6vs6 players
FreeForAll: 10-16 players


Weapons:

Pistol (spv3 core)
Assault Rifle (Spv3 core)
Battle Rifle (spv3 core)
Shotgun (spv3 core)
DMR (spv3 core)
Sniper Rifle (spv3 core)
Rocket Launcher (spv3 core)
Carabine (spv3 core)
Plasma Rifle (spv3 core)
Needler (spv3 core)
The Silent Battle Rifle (spv3 core)


H2A Battle Rifle (project DreamWeb VKMT)



Brute Plasma Repeater (SPV2 model with reloading animation by tehlag and sound modded by me)

Chaingun Hog (spv3)
Rocket Hog (spv3)
Ghost (spv3)
Soi_7 Scorpion



Changes that has ben made from the original bsp:

1. Passage that leads directly to the cave with a new waterfall.



2. Map Room that leads to the blue base.

Server:

As i said before,there is my home made server up 24/24 hours and 7/7 days and is called:
(SBB)TSC:E-Multiplayer Offcial Server by Perla117 (Currently OFF)
IP: 95.249.41.179:2302
Press "W" Twice to sprint!
Note that Sprint Works only on Slayer,CTF and King


This server works with map voting but it does not have a good connection. It depends on which country you come form.
In fact im searching someone that can host this map with the sprint script and with a good server like elitegameservers.net
The map is avariable on the HAC2 server list for the direct download.

I think map is big enough to support a banshee or flying vehicle. Also while exploring map I noticed a lot of high "sniping" areas that cannot be reached within the map; perhaps access to these areas will increase gameplay..IMO

yes, the map si very big but is verry difficult to add flying vehicles... there are lot of problems with portals because this map was designed for SP and without flying vehicles...
for now if you add a banshee in the map, you can see a lot of portals problems...
To fix that i have to add a lot of portals and see if it works... but is a pain in the ass...

About the "sniping" areas, i can say that if you can reach that areas, the gameplay will be broken.... we have beta tested this map a lot and really i dont know if is a good idea to make that areas reachable...

Thanks for the "reply" map is very nice & fun to play! What editor did you use for the scenario file? Sapien? I may want to look at fixing those portal areas myself

it could be... but the problem is that nobody plays halo multiplayer with OS maps...
and the sprint script would not work.

The positive part is that with OS i could add more things to the map without any problems.

Not gonna lie I had my doubts when you first started developing the idea but I played some the other day and it looked like things were working well.

I have uploaded the sprint LUA file, I am however not certain it is loaded correctly.

To clarify, do I just install the script file in to the "lua" folder of SAPP or do I need to add some kind of code to one of the init files to execute it?

I have updated the INIT file on the server adding the lines that altis94 has mentioned. I have also double checked it with Perla117 as well and from what I can tell, it appears that it is likely to work. Perla will test it tonight for us. I will keep you updated, but at this point, it appears that we are the only ones running this map as the other 2 Perla mentioned, one does not have the map and the other is offline! Our server is open to the public. Come play!

I heard he made a tool for Halo Online that lets you mod that game. I think I might look into that, do they have a forum for Halo Online somewhere? I'd appreciate if you could point me in that direction, I think the mods for Halo Custom Edition are usually pretty lame. Especially CMT's. Might be time to move to the future and get started on the next best thing!
