The community has always had it's cancerous users. Don't give them the power to stop you from doing what you want. Do things because you WANT to, not to please the userbase.

I can't say I'm not disappointed.

This is a good opportunity to build resilience and character.
Do what you have to do.

Exactly, and I don't want to release dreamweb.
The crap I do has never had the community as tip top priority, I was always under the impression a release was up to me and halomaps was never entitled to my work, and I think I already made this clear.

Of course, there's still a lot of people I know in this community, and I do like helping people, there's a few outside projects using the tags but I'm totally okay giving the tags out in a closed group of people still.



Are you a broken record by any chance? You seem to be very obsessed with saying that only that to me when everyone else has moved on.

More that I never had to release it in the first place, but complaining that I'm butthurt instead of simply accepting I don't want to release it (not to mention, seemingly ignore that if this was "virtually every other community" the cancer STILL wouldnt completely overtake everything) would prove my point pretty well... Can this community actually shut the hell up for one day about cancelled projects? Everywhere it's "cancelled this, cancel that, no update? Cancelled!" Maybe its no wonder they get cancelled?

Because if you can't have it, that totally means it's cancelled.

Dreamweb looked great at CE3, especially those forerunner weapons.

If you give it to select people, I'm okay with it, it punishes the ones who needs to be punished, I just thought one moment that you wouldn't give it to anybody, only because of a select few of people

Just another quick thank you to everyone who watched CE3, It was nice to see that for once I just didn't get booed off stage.

Also, yes, I admit it, my body is mostly comprised of salt, and I'll have redact my statement about never releasing the tags, I'll talk more about that in a minute.

The support for Dreamweb and MVM was overwhelmingly positive, but it was also amazing to see how various members are already taking advantage of it in our closed circle release.

to date there are about 7 projects using Project Dreamweb either in some capacity or fully, and these include:

-Mental VKMT Multiplayer
-Trinity Map Pack
-Descent II
-NP Mapping Team
-Torn Reality
-Currently Unannounced by the author project
-Currently Unannounced by the author project

We have also made considerable amounts of improvements to Project Dreamweb post CE3.

the most noticeable change is we are currently working on a major visual boost for Spartan assets, finally giving them custom textures instead of the ugly waypoint ones, shoutout to Maik, give him some love.

We are also happy to announce that now that we have no major CE events to overhype dreamweb, we will make our own, in late March, we will have an event called VKMT week, similar to CMT's TSCE media month, Starting March 27th to March 31st, we will be posting a new major update everyday for the next 5 days, including the world premiere trailer for Torn Reality.

We mentioned Dreamwebs release, and we mentioned something about a close circle, to elaborate on this, currently Dreamweb is in a closed circle release, and is still in a very early stage in development, we will be actively giving status reports and the "hey we are alive" statements, and will let you know when Dreamweb will be closer to an initial release. Even after said initial release, we will still be hard at work.

To close, here's a sneak peak at some exciting new things coming to Dreamweb which will be thoroughly shown at a later date.

Is the initial release going to be public? And will the Locke biped be included?

1. initial will be public but its a long time around.

2. absolutely! Osiris Team and Blue Team will be included, I do personally prefer Blue Teams from the books and comics though, so I'll also look into that. muh Mark V Scout

oh yeah, and I forgot to mention that a non OS version of dreamweb will be made soon.

2. Funny enough, we did call that Samus.

3. Fully Color Change, don't worry, Halo 5 single player bipeds will be in but the focus is overall maintaining a nice mix of Bungie and 343, similar to H2A.

i doubt you can make the first two alien spartans feel something from bungie, can you port the ugly cyclops helmet?
