didn't know the cheater sound was from descent. i remember the one place i saw that series advertised was on the old baldur's gate trailer ads that came on the disk with the install. i believe they had the trailer on there for descent III. i had always thought it interesting back then, but never looked into the game further.

Anyway to get ahold of the script for the level without unpacking the map? For Science!
Opening cutscene is shot really well btw IMO better than vanilla by far.

Nah, no change in brightness from the console command either. Kind of at a loss about that, its so dark as to make it unplayable

Is anyone planning to make this map as MP once it's completely done?



Oh teh lag I am not sure if this is possible but can you make scenery move when we ever walk towards it and melee it just like how it does in halo 3?

I just realized that the Brute Shot clips pretty badly with the third-person model, but there's probably not much that could be done about this. However, I also noticed that Chief doesn't even hold the handle in either first-person or third-person, which is kinda odd. He just kinda rests his hand on top of the loading gate instead of moving it six inches forward to the part of the weapon designed for the sole purpose of holding the thing up.

Went looking for the Chief heads again today. Didn't find them in there usual spots on normal, legendary, or noble difficulties.

I wonder if they've been removed or hidden....

That is definitely not a spoiler. Everyone knows noble is the goofy mode, but I'm not telling you HOW it gets goofy. That right there would be a spoiler.

I'm still wondering if it's a bug or not though.

I'll just leave this here. I tested CE with eyefinity. looks pretty good. A little clipping with the screen when smacking with some of the weapons but meow.

Yikes, fix that HUD. F7 in game, next, HUD x position.


I could do that but it would bother me. It completely bothered me to have the HUD stretched let alone in the middle of no where. I prefer to have to look across my room.

I've been watching this thread ever since it was created, and decided to make an account today to post a secret that I don't think anyone else has found so far. I've not invested much time in finding other pieces of it, so I thought the process would be speeded a bit if I posted it in here for you secret-hunters.

You know the place where in the end-cutscene of TSC; the pelican arrives to a weird little platform that almost resembles an Y, where in the original map - there would be two Hunters defending? Well, go up to this structure - and press your face into the walls of it like Doomguy and B.J did in the old gaming era. I found this on a real accident and I screamed when it said "Press E to activate". Basically, I was wondering how you are able to open those doors that are locked - because there is something in them if you look through the glass. The mapping in it looks alot more different than the other locked doors in the bases. That's where I found this - in huge euphoria. Maybe it's connected to the doors!

I found this switch on the end of the mission, and when you must board the Pelican. I tried searching around for changes when I activated this switch, but found nothing. There must be more of these. I fear that it might be a real chore to push your face into every wall to find them, though.

Waited a loooooong time for this, FINALLY get to play it :D
Did not disappoint. The weapons and environment designs and transitions are completely seamless, you'd fool me if you said it was an official work by Bungie, but the highlight was probably the gold elite at the end. I was thinking of running across the bridge and turning it off while he was on it... suffice to say that backfired hilariously.

phrased it wrong. i already have :P but id like to get to the rebalancing phase early enough for a possible release by ce3
