I've been trying to modify the halo campaign but I can't mod a10, a30, a50, b40, c40, d20, d40. I've never seen this error in my life!
In a10 I got this error in tool:
C:\Progam Files (x86)\Miscrsoft Games\ Halo Custom Edition) tool build-cache-file
levels\halo_3_a10\a10
Couldn't read map file './toolbeta.map'
EAX: 0x00000000
EAX: 0x07E66501

EXCEPTION (that's all I know!)

I want to know mostly what is the exception caused by. Whether if its corrupt bitmaps bad bipeds or units, incompatible shaders what could this possibly mean. Anybody?

Screw all your sites and your advertisement :P

@OP

It's pretty much impossible to tell what's wrong from what you have there. Are those the entire contents of the debug.txt file?

You could meticulously open each and every A10 BSP attached to that scenario in sapien and then read the debug file later to see if any errors popped up

The best way is to start again.

And when you make a change either in guerilla or sapien log a short detailed description in a note pad doc.

That way at least you will be able to reverse engineer your error and in thus you should be able to find the solution to the problem which is debarring your vision.

Change logs 4 life.

I think I may have found what caused this error, I was just checking out the a10 bipeds used in this level and I found the the pilot's animations are completley curropt to the point theat guerilla just crashes. I'm going to search for a clean version of the pilot and see what happens next.

I finally fixed a10 now thanks to the Halo Tag Converter. I just had so many corrupt cinematic animations that I couldn't modify 2/3 of the campaign. Now I can modify them all. Just 1 problem THE DARN RECORDED ANIMATIONS ARE MESSED UP, so that means that pelicans drop me to my death in b40, and a50 and at the same time the covenant troops are dropped to their death. Does anybody have any solutions?

Halo Tag Converter ≠ HEK+

Step 2

Step 2

Step 2

Quote: 2. Use the HEK+ from my Halo CE and HEK Starter Kit (http://www.galaxyverge.com/files/hcahsk/Halo CE and HEK Starter Kit/Halo Editing Kit Plus.zip). You will probably need to disable visual themes and maybe also desktop composition to make it work under Windows 7 and newer. Use the HEK+ to extract all the tags from all your Halo PC map files, saving them to your Halo Custom Edition tags directory. Apply the option in HEK+ to replace existing tags before you do this.
