Greetings, fellow Halo players! It's been a long time coming, and finally the much-anticipated update to Halo CE's Universal UI has been completed. Halo CE's most popular functional interface has now been updated! Now be able to view and switch profiles at any time, from anywhere. Experience a redesigned interface layout, with high-quality images, cleaner lines, standardized spacing and colors. Hear new music carefully picked from throughout the Halo game series. Also, this update includes much better support for controllers and gamepads. To see all the awesomeness, give it a download and check it out! Want to play the classic campaign? CMT levels? Project Lumoria? A ton of community Singleplayer levels and Firefight maps? You're covered! Also, you get to select the difficulty of any map that you load with the touch of a button. Plus, the multiplayer server list has been modernized and all interface elements have been slimmed down for easy navigation and quick game starting. People who made this possible:MoooseGuy - Project lead, BSP setup, interface, scripting, various bitmaps, etc. Hudmasta! (aka Choclate Thunda) - Spearheading interface redesign, bitmap and layout creation. Giraffe (aka L28) - Halo interface pioneer, advice giver, widget-toyer, and music compiler. Masterz1337 - CMT leader, project ideator, supplier of SPV3 images. {SBB} Storm and Team Members - Extensive testing, problem-finding, and feedback. TM Mapping Team - Original Project Lumoria planet and logo. MatthewDratt - Takedown logo and images. Bungie - The Halo game and its elements. Edit: HaloMaps link is up! I know about that one; it's an engine-related thing. There's nothing I can do about it. Edited by MoooseGuy on Sep 13, 2014 at 02:40 PM

I love this UI already! However, when I seem to play the a50 yelo version, it won't launch, but with the .map version it works fine... any reasons why this happens??

The reason that the beta version of CMT's a50 loads through the classic campaign menu is due to the map name. Because it is named "a50", it is the same name as the classic version.
CMT's final SPV3 release will have map names that are unique, and will load through the CMT menu. Edited by MoooseGuy on Sep 13, 2014 at 03:47 PM

After testing it, I am positively surprised. I was expecting this update to be something small but it seems that pretty much everything has improved.

Impressed. This updated version looks great, bravo. My only complaint is the font that was used - can't say it matches that well, and its quite pixely. The number 6 also looks like an 8.

You can blame tool and the engine. The font is fine but for some reason tool is being a but. I had to go in and edit certain characters manually just to make it look descent.

im not a huge fan of the font, its too pixelly... but otherwise its nice, main menu could be more controller friendly, its a pain to select something at the bottom like settings

Really nice work. Congratulations!
(I found a little problem, if you go to the mp map selection, the little spartan from the profile information doesn't appear there..)

(I found a little problem, if you go to the mp map selection, the little spartan from the profile information doesn't appear there..) There are a couple of menus that the Spartan could not be put into due to engine-driven list limitations. Basically for lists like the MP maps and the gametypes, the engine creates the lists from what it has stored internally. The profile picture addition messes with this list, causing it to display random values instead of the correct ones. So for those, a substitute was put in place.

May i ask where did you exactly added that profile widget?
If you added that to the extended widget of the screen, it should work (not tested in the mp map selection screen, so idk)

Because of the nature of displaying the profile color icon, it had to be added as part of a heavily-modified profile select list. All list items were turned into dummy buttons with no bitmaps or size and placed outside the screen bounds. This modified list was then injected into the root screen for each menu and a clickable button was added as part of the list. All this was then supplemented with an extended description piece that shows the player's profile name.
In short, if I had just added it as part of the extended description, it would not have correctly displayed the player's color, and would not have been clickable.
