In march, Microsoft reported to try and give an renewed focus on Windows and PC gaming

At E3 2014, " Halo: the Master Chief Collection" was announced to launch in November, and much to anticipating PC gamers dismay, Halo-related announcements about or on PC were not made.

Many PC gamers shouted their questioning of Microsoft's approach to double down on PC gaming.
Some even created a petition to try and capture 343's attention.

However we must welcome this final nail in the coffin.

In retrospect it was easily anticipated, but to have such a concrete statement given is still disheartening.

They said this literally 1 hour after Microsofts presser ended on IGN live.

Seeing as 'Games for Windows Live" will be shutdown, we will have to wait and see if their will be an alternative. Steam would be a good platform.

Im sure Microsoft will release the MCC to PC.... well they HAVE TO. It would be stupid to ignore this opportunity, if Microsoft has windows dominating the PC industry and the PC gaming, it would be a good idea to take advantage of it, releasing the games that succeded on Xbox will succed in PC but they have to be smart, because H2Vista was a failure, and that was because microsoft launched it exclusively for Vista.

If they're smart enough releasing the game for, 7 & 8 the MCC would be a Hit. I don't care if they don't release H5 for PC, we're not looking for it actually, what we want is to have those 4 games for PC, and play some massive Multiplayer running at 60fps and some cool improvements that the Xbox 360 didn't allow us.

Microsoft/343i will not release MCC for PC NOW, Im sure they will wait for the Xbox One version because they want to grow the XOne sales with this collection because a lot of peole will buy a XOne for Halo 5 and the MCC ONLY. Probably the PC version will come out in a couple of months...or a year.... probably 2.

I agree having something like Halo CE available (with integrated steam-works multiplayer and mod support) would be optimal, but uuuuhhh, probably unlikely.
We will see though, maybe M$ will pull their heads out of 2005.

Microsoft no longer has a PC platform on PC. Their last PC games was released on Steam (though it was kinda crap). But I dont think MS is going to reinvest into making their own PC platform after the failure of GFWL

Microsoft won't release the collection on pc anytime soon, it is one of their only selling points of the Xbox One.
In the industry it's not about community, it's all about cold hard money.

I think the one and only reason, 343i won't release anything to pc, is because they want to protect there interest.

By that I mean, they don't want to see any 343 rips.

Who knows? Maybe this thread was created as a test bed to see how advanced we are at ripping info from halo.

I wonder if in an alternate dimension, no body had ever ripped any thing from '05 to '14 and because of this, all the halo games were released on pc.
