If they fix the kits for all of them i will just mod all 3 games. Halo + steam workshop seems pretty gangsta to me. >:D
Also ms hinted at more first party releases in summer. Halo 3 pc? :D Also if ms be stupid and none of my ce tags work someone will have to make a ce to steam tool :/ anyone up to that task if it comes out? Edited by MEGASEAN2812 on Mar 27, 2014 at 06:26 PM

Only Halo game I haven't played, so what the heck I'll buy it. Plus the soundtrack is fantastic.

If it has an editing kit, then that's great, but if not then it's kinda meh. I mean h3 was fun and all so it'd be cool for the 'nostalgia', factor but besides that I can't say I'm really ecstatic about it

I won't download this sh$#"tty game. If microsoft wants money from a Halo game, they should release H3 or Reach for PC and with SDK... and Im sure they will bath in money after a few weeks.

MS really has no reason to hold back a H3EK this time around. With Halo 2, the game was released to PC less than 3 years after it's console debut, they had GFWLOL and the game was pretty much just a campaign to push out windows vista. None of that is an excuse for the game's terrible support however if Halo 3 PC came out:
-There'd be no GFWL -6 years after original release -There's nothing MS can force people to get to play it. No one will buy it if it's a w8 exclusive, even they must know that.
MS has a window of opportunity to redeem themselves here.
I imagine Halo 3 PC at it's best including: -Halo 3 game bundled with ODST (all using the same .exe) -All Halo 3 multiplayer maps, new PC exclusive maps -Online Co-op for ODST and Halo 3 -A full H3EK, including all of the original source files to how the campaign was built. -More armor variants -Server Browser for MP matches and co-op matches -Firefight -Updated graphics (DX 11 support, all texture resolutions doubled, etc)
That's at it's best, all of that happening is slim to none. However if it did happen, i'd gladly throw down $60 to buy it.

I think that's a bit way too much more. Just port the game over.
ODST is on a modified version of the Halo 3 engine so I doubt that you could even get them to work in one .exe unless you did some major work.

From what I know, I don't think theres any reason h3's maps would have a huge problem with the ODST engine. AFAIK the lighting and some ai things were the only things that were changed, along with some stuff with dialog. If they wanted I am sure they could get it working.

ODST is on a modified version of the Halo 3 engine so I doubt that you could even get them to work in one .exe unless you did some major work. Just a bunch of ideas. Halo 3 could most likely easily run off the ODST engine. I'm going off the very best case scenario, which we know probably won't happen. I am expecting something a little better than H2V after that colossal fail, but not much. E: and i don't really care about upgraded GFX really, it'd be nice to have resolutions doubled since most of us will be playing in 1080p or higher. I remember a lot of people complaining that Halo 2 didn't have DX10 support at the time of release, that's the only reason I said that. Edited by Ki11erFTW on Mar 29, 2014 at 03:03 AM

Quick look at the facts:
Steam got a 'leak' page for each halo game, which were made hidden but not deleted. The games are also in the Steam registry.
Microsoft had denied that halo 3 was coming to the pc (which they've done before with other games and they showed up on pc anyway)
Microsoft 'recently' released Age of Empires II HD (I slightly upgraded version of Age of Empires II with full steam integration)
Halo 3 will almost certainly never be on PC or Steam.
I feel like if there is a chance of Halo 3-1 being announced for steam, it will be based on how well Spartan Assault does on steam.

i honestly did expect that to be the case. i hate that it's probly true, but i think banshee's right. the worst part is nobody wants H: SA because it's BS, uses H4 ripz, top-down POV BS, and its a strategy game. (ok, some people like strategy games but still, this is freakin' halo) Edited by greg079 on Apr 2, 2014 at 02:39 PM

Imo Spartan Assault is a pretty good game. Actually a great game for the price. I'll be buying it to support it/Halo on PC.

That said, it really could've been better. I didn't think it was god-awful but I didn't absolutely love it like I did the H4 campaign either. It was good for an arcade game IMO.

For a $5 game I got my moneys worth out of it.
I just had to accept the fact that this really wasn't a Halo game at all... (aside from the familiar sound-assets and setting)
