I have a problem with my screen when playing Halo Combat Evolved or Halo Custom Edition. It looks just like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Om30Eu7x9s . The problem is better when I am playing Custom Edition but, still makes the game unplayable at times. The problem really goes to town when I use the helmet flashlight. HELP!

Are you trying to use decals on an NVIDIA card newer than GeForce 7? (and older than GeForce 9)

do any other games do this stretch and flickering of the geometry? to be honest tho, that looks like your video card is hammered.
seen that before on my old card, which i drove into the ground. check the fan or fans on it are working, redo the thermal compound, but i think it's already done for.

I have the same thing happening sometimes, it comes and goes but it started when I bought my new computer and installed it on there. I think it has something to do with directX 10, also it has something to do with the lighting in game.
Do you have windows 7?
Also it does the same thing with my dad computer witch has AMD and windows 7. btw I have an I5-3450 Edited by MHstudios on May 7, 2013 at 09:55 AM

I have the same problem. It occurs when a dynamic light is activated and specular is affected by it, for me. To fix it go into options, video settings, and turn off specular. You should be good.

I had a similar problem and it turns out that it was a blown capacitor: Try checking your video card for something like that.
