So... call me new and all, but... something strikes me as odd.
New content gets released/leaked, the people responsible for releasing that content say 'more will come, we just need to get it into a release-ready state'... and then people get up in arms about things never being released.
Now, doesn't that strike anybody as a little silly?
The content will get released. Hounding the people holding the files won't make them work any faster - believe me, I've had people pester me for my work before, and usually pestering makes me hold it for longer. I'm not saying that none of the concerns are legitimate (yes, we all know what happened with the Halo 2/3/Reach tools and how it took several years to get any content publically released), but come on, guys.
Halo 4 has been out for only six months and we're already seeing people offering up content for the modding community. Not only is that a record in terms of the general trend, but it also shows how willing people are already to share nowadays. Let's be patient, and I'm sure the tools will become available when the time is right. The fact that we have anything at all should speak volumes.
With that over: I have to ask, what's the status of ripping the multiplayer assets and character models/textures? I've been looking forwards to making something similar to Vanity for Halo 4's Armoury options for a while now, and while I don't wish to jump on the pester wagon, could I ask to at least be kept informed of progress for the Multiplayer assets?
Finally: thanks a lot, for all those making this possible. I realise that the situation isn't ideal, but if it means getting stable asset extraction tools, I'm willing to sit on my hands and be patient.

Quote: --- Original message by: DarkestSeptagon That's why I avoid these type of arguments. If you look at it from a different perspective it's just silly. My point was more that the entire argument is silly. Alright, I can understand both sides of it, and it pretty much stands thus: Side A has tools that side B wants. Problem is, those tools are in development. Side A has, in the past, shafted Side B by withholding those tools from release and, as a result, Side B is now paranoid about being shafted this time around. Because of that, Side B pesters and demands that Side A might not be willing to release (due to instability, or just plain ego), and Side A tells them where to get off. The cycle repeats, ad infinatum, ad irritatum, ad nauseum - nobody benefits, and a bad taste is left in everyone's mouths. It stands to reason that if Side A was a little more open about the development of said tools and perhaps even gave updates/micro-releases, then Side B wouldn't pester so much. Likewise, Side B needs to sit down and learn some patience, otherwise nobody gets anything. And, yes, I realise that there are people from both sides who have bucked up and realised this already (R98S, I'm looking at you, you magnificent bastiche) - so, there's hope yet. Alle ist klar? Regarding Multiplayer assets, I haven't exactly attempted to extract the MP spartans. However, since the Master Chief's model is able to be extracted, I believe the same is the case for the spartans. On a side note, I have decided to include a scale comparison of the Chief and Didact.

Quote: --- Original message by: 032 Mendicant Bias -snipped for brevity- Well, I'll take it as a matter of course and hope to see them soon - I'm after the Scout set myself, but, as I said, I do intend to work on an armour customiser. EDIT: that said, I do recall Gravemind having issues with some armour permutations not extracting initially, with earlier versions of Adjutant - may be something to look into, to make sure? I will ask, however, on a note of sheer curiosity: will the tools ever be made available, or simply the assets themselves? Either/or doesn't concern me really, I ask purely out of my own personal curiosity. Edited by Rosanna Weyland on Apr 4, 2013 at 04:27 PM

the Tartarus boss fight was so lame honestly. It was a cool idea to finally fight Tartarus one on one, but it was poorly excecuted
i was all for fighting Didact one on one as well, however, so i can't exactly say i wasnt dissapointed that the entirity of the fight was a bunch of QTEs. Would have been interesting to have fought Didact as a proper boss fight, with a time limit to spruce things up.
Either way, my opinion wont do anything there.

Just wondering what you guys think. I doubt it. Both times the Chief encountered him, he was outclassed by the Didact. Hand-to-hand with no armour, maybe the Chief stands a chance. Otherwise, no way.

Yeah, Chief BARELY beat him and only because Cortana had him restrained. Even though The Chief could rip apart Chuck Norris with his bare hands, he still doesn't stand a chance against the Didact.
