Yep, you're right. And I'm glad to tell you that I have finally finished all of them. For who doesn't know, these weapons were the Sentinel Beam and the Major variant. Other things are the classic floating pieces of the Halo 4 Forerunner weapons, and some minor changes. So, here is what I got:      Nothing changed from Halo 2 in terms of functionality, so the Major variant still makes more damage and overheats more rapidly. *Hoping to say finally "The End" to this weapons set, and start working on something else (I'll explain later which is my next work)*

These are pretty great, I'd never have thought to take such an approach to the Sentinel Beam. The hardlight bayonet could probably be a little bit longer, and you could probably put some notches into the floating ironsights so they don't fully obscure the target, but aside from these minor details, I don't see anything else that would need to be changed.

Great! Do the floating bits move around a bit in the animations? That would definitely improve the feel of the weapon. These are a great end to your weapons set and I look forward to seeing how they will be applied to a level. Makes me wonder what you're going to do next. Bipeds? BSP?

I'm absolutely happy to conclude this weapons set and start the next tags, and I'm even more happy to see that you appreciated it! ^_^ I have tweaked the old weapons too, and applied the suggestions about the last two ones (the notches and the longer hologram). This is the final result of all my long work: ASSAULT RIFLE:  -Improved shaders and textures -Reorganized the explosion particles for the grenade in order to not use zteam's particles -Edited the origins (the H3 ones suck IMO) BATTLE RIFLE:  -Swapped the H3 animations with Teh Lag's ones BEAM RIFLE:  -Replaced the H3 sounds with custom ones BRUTE PLASMA RIFLE:  -Added blood splats on the bayonet BRUTE SHOT:  -Made the tracers of the explosion blue instead of yellow COVENANT CARBINE:  -Fixed tons of UV and texture problems -Improved shaders -The hologram on the magazine turns red when you are out of ammo instead of being static like in H4 ENERGY SWORD:  -Swapped CAD's animations with zteam's ones -Added some sparkles between the blades -Replaced the H4 sounds with custom ones -The plasma flows parallel to the blades now FLAMETHROWER:  -Improved shaders -Added an heat meter with a moving arrow (similiar to a barometer) in the fp model GRAVITY HAMMER:  -(No significative changes) MAGNUM:  -Improved shaders MAJOR SENTINEL BEAM:  -Lenghtened the hardlight hologram -Added notches to the floating parts (couldn't make them moving unluckily :[ ) MAULER:  -Fires a single slug that breaks into little fragments on solid surface (but not on units) NEEDLE LAUNCHER:  -(No significative changes) NEEDLER:  -Increased the rate of fire to 12 rounds per second PLASMA PISTOL:  -Added a multi-layered hologram -The plasma burn makes less damage on armored units, more damage on flesh PLASMA RIFLE:  -(No significative changes) ROCKET LAUNCHER:  -Improved shaders SENTINEL BEAM:  -Added notches to the floating parts SHOTGUN:  -Improved shaders -Better firing effect SMG:  -Improved shaders -Flashlight light volume for marines SNIPER RIFLE:  -Better firing sound -Added a voltage decal to the battery SPARTAN LASER:  -(No significative changes) SPIKER:  -Fixed some texture problems -New firing sound (Sorry if I didn't show some of the changes, but there were too many pics to publish...) The first biped that I'm going to make is the new Master Chief model (and of course a new fp arms model), so that I can get rid of those Heretic Elite and H2 arms that I'm using as placeholders. Before making the other bipeds, though, I'd like to make the new HUD first, after finishing MC. Damn do those pics look sexy. The rotating holograms on the plasma pistol are beautiful as well.
Not sure if you're planning on releasing any of these tags prior to a mod release, but just seeing the pics and WIP vids is enough to whet my appetite to see the final production!

Thanks a lot! @AlekosGR: you can use them as you want, I released them for this ;) I forgot to post a thing that I did a while ago: a revamp of the Flood Carrier Form:  I improved the texture in order to make it look more bloody and similiar to the H2 Flood. I have also added some ribs and the spine on the back:  The size of this form is a lot bigger than the original model, but doesn't exceed the H3 size. Here you can see the difference between the old and the new model:  And, finally, I improved the explosion effect. It uses better particles and the HCEA explosion sound:  Stay ready for the incoming Master Chief ;)

Most of these tags look great, but I have complaints. The prongs on the Plasma Pistol are too high above the plasma ball and the Spartan laser textures and animations are very meh. The Beam Rifle and SMG look too similair to their original forms. The BR's scope looks very weird in first person.

DOUBLE UPDATE After days of hard work, he's finally here. Say "welcome" to the new Master Chief!   Compare it with the old H3 armor: http://static3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100525174736/halo/images/6/61/Mark_VI_Study.jpgI tried my best to replicate the armour of that concept art I found (again, this: http://static1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100619163216/halofanon/images/e/e3/MJOLNIR_Mark_VII.jpg), though I have added some modifications: first of all, I kept the scratches that MC has on his chest in Halo 3, then I kept the H3 lights because there were no lights in the concept art; moreover, I made the back a bit like the Halo Legends one:  And finally, I used the H4 hexagons pattern on the visor and the H4 techsuit pattern on the unarmored parts:   This model uses the H1 boneset, but I added some extra animations to the original tags in order to make him use each weapon I made:      (Last two ones are divinely badass lol). I have also made custom effects for both the shield depletion and the shield recharge. Moreover, I added the H2 pain dialogues. And the second update is: I managed to make Flood Elite Forms properly use the energy sword. They required a new animation, but luckily they work pretty well:   NEXT TAG: New fp arms

Spartan is okay, but a major complaint would be his proportions - he is way to skinny. The dude is crazy buff, able to flip tanks, right now he looks like some lanky dude in some armor.

That is just SO awesome. As for MC himself, I agree that he does look fairly skinny, considering he's supposed to be wearing layers of protective armor. If you buffed up his thighs, middle torso, and arms I think you'd be good. You might also want to look into brightening up his visor and/or making a new cubemap for it, because in some photos it looks like someone threw mud on his helmet. Otherwise your work is fantastic.
