Hey guys, 'nother teaser pic just to show new stuff in Portent II



Thats right, NEW RANK ICONS!!!

We will have 50+ custom rank icons that will include there own tier sets that allow people to show off how long they lasted in portent in a much more interactive and competitive way, enjoy!

hey this is a big importance for me and other controller users, can you fix the auto aim if you plan on using drones?

Maybe it's not related, but I figured out a way to fix the problems the Drones had without disabling the auto aim or messing up the weapons. I can explain what I did, if you want

Those Drones had two issues: the first was an exception error, the second a collision error.
About the exception, MatthewDratt told me that the wings sound caused that error, so you have simply to remove it or make a new one.
The second one is more complicated to solve: first of all, you need to add a #head and a #body marker to the model of the drone (you can do it also with Kornman00, but remember that the first must be linked to the "bip01 head" bone, and the second to "bip01 spine"). Then, you need to edit the biped tag in order to fix the bounding sphere, using these values:

Finally, check the collision_geometry tag and be sure that it uses the right damage material, and that the "head" flag in the Materials caption is checked.
That's it!

or just port the bugger yourself and give it the spheres simple if you want to make a reach one dat is


Adding the spheres will just add the markers, but you still need to set up correctly the bounding sphere and the collisions, or the bullets will just pass through the Drone without any desirable effects

I'm a newb to Halo Custom Edition, but when I got Descent (and learned how to do more things than just download a map), I was amazed. The custom weapons were great, the AI was pretty smart (Especially the grunts in Grunt Mania; they were so smart I was blown to bits by them almost every time.), and overall I just liked it. When I learned about this...

OMG. MIND-BLOWN.

From the pictures I saw, this looked great. I'm anticipating it greatly.

Hrmm. Well, I did see Portent II while watching CE3 '13, but other than that, I can't remember.

Sorry, but as of this time I have no updates to offer.

This is an incredibly complex map and I'm having to figure out how to get all of this to work solo. This takes a lot of time and energy, which I don't have a lot of.

If all of you could bug MoooseGuy to get in contact with me that'd be great, we have some things to discuss but we haven't been in contact in months and MoooseGuy must not check his PM box anymore...

Also I have a job posting: Encounter Person. I have made all of the encounters in Firefight Portent II, however I feel that some of them are rather off balance and need checking, send me a PM if you know anything about encounter balance and fluidity.

I hope to have some updates soon.

And a release date?
