Firstly, for the animation. What i'd do is import the pod and biped into the scene, animate them together, and then save two different versions, each having deleted one set. So you have one with the biped's animations, and one with the elites, but they both sync up because they were made together. Also, try making the door change direction when it comes in contact, you also want it to loose some force. If you're using max, the easiest way to do it would be to set the scene up for ragdoll for the biped, add the door as an object that can collide, and make the first frame of the animation moving the door forward quickly, then use reactor to generate the rest to make it look realistic. Just some suggestions.
Secondly, will the pod be a vehicle that you start out in?

What I want to know is what are your guys top 10 original Bungie songs you'd like to see? It can be from any Halo game. Pepzee definitely surprised me when I got the news of how far Portent II had discreetly progressed since CE3. He definitely deserves some recognition for sticking with it even when others, such as myself, couldn't lend a helping hand.  Yay Pepzee! Finally, I am reaching a time period which will allow me to step back in and deliver testing and feedback for the project. Let's see this thing through!
