Another exception thread.
A map that I mod works completely fine on my version of Halo. When somebody else grabs said mod and plays it, it exceptions. It also exceptions on a portable version of Halo that I downloaded. Any idea what causes this?
I have downloaded the ff for my version of Halo:
Skys the Limit - STL.dll in directory
Animation recorder - Strings.dll in directory (but named stringsnew so it doesn't affect it)
Halo ui plus
Open Sauce - d3d9.dll not in directory, so that can't be it
Updated oggvorbis encoder
Halo sound converter

If it's doing it ingame, it could be the graphics card. I'm pretty sure it dumps information on the exception somewhere.

How can it be the graphics card when it crashed the portable version on the same computer?

Your sentence contradicts itself - you used both versions on the same computer, and they both crashed? It could very well be the graphics card.

did you compile it as a .yelo? and if you did did you do it properly.

the command should be

os_tool.exe build-cache-file-ex "" 0 0 1 "directory"

and the person you are sending it to must also have opensauce installed or else the map will not work.

I have OS installed but that map does not use OS.
The maps work on my Halo, but exception on the portable version, and when other people use it.
You can check out the map here

What is the exception offset when it crashes?

Debug only gives HEK errors, not CE errors.

If you get the exception offset from CE's error report, that can be used to determine the cause of the exception.

But it doesn't get dumped in debug.txt

Of course not. As I said, it is in the error report.

How exactly do I find the exception offset?

It is in the error report. You know when CE says "Gathering exception data....."? That's when it's saving the error report.

The Gathering Exception Data window simply disappears after Halo crashes...
