It looks like what you did before but without smoothing... You should try being more lazy !
(but the main edges looks a bit better)

Heh. It's more or less just learning tools and what they do and how to make them do "exactly" what you want them to do. For example, I use a lot o boolean. People will say "ERMAHGERD WHY YOU USE THAT TERRIBLE TOOL!". I just watched a few tutorials out there and learned how to effectively use it. Also, if you really want to find out what tools work great for modeling, look at some other artists out there. For example, much of my knowledge of tools came from an awesome designer called Grant Warwick. Though he's primarily a hi-poly object modeler, his lessons pertaining to the tools he uses are invaluable.
lol. Also, I just remembered I added you a while ago on LoL! We need to play a few matches sometime.

Also, to everyone else here, sorry I have not been on. Went to Salt Lake City for my friend's bachelor party for 4 days. If anyone needs to contact me for anything tomorrow, I will be getting on after work tomorrow at about 4:30 PM EST.

Also, Jacket, got any basic structural designs yet? If you have any of them, I should be able to start modeling tomorrow when I get back. Depending on the time I have, I may try and do some high poly modeling for baking textures/normals. Granted, I am really crappy at baking textures, so if anyone happens to be able to help me with that or recommend a video, all the ones I have seen haven't fully seemed to help me.

Yeah, should be good. Like I said earlier, things been hectic here too with the upcoming wedding.

1000 for just one cliff! and combined to other structures and more cliffs ( Which have thousand of polies )

the master chief model has over 1000 and it isn't considered high-poly, times 16 players supported by multiplayer, plus the weapons equipped. point?

well, that wasn't really directed at you but if you don't want to draw forerunner weapons, that's fine

personally, having the light rifle and scattershot in-game would be awesome, adn you don't really need art for that...

Would it surprise you If I said I don't actually own an xbox? granted I have played all the campaigns except H4, but I actually very infrequently play any halo except CE ATM.

Yeah, don't worry, unlike most people, it truly is only work, school...
...and League of Legends that keeps me from doing work on modeling. No endless hour of XBL for me. Aint no-body got time fo dat!

Actually, I was thinking about changing that to be angled like that but with something more solid. I too decided after the fact that I didn't like that piece.

Some updates on the structures

lol. Just suspending the work at the moment due to Finals. Finals for me is like 3 weeks because I have so many separate days of hands on exams. Gotta love finals for networking.
