It's nice to look at, and has good outside of map detail and textures, but it's awkward to traverse and the shape of the map renders vehicles somewhat obsolete.

The HUD is Ok, but it seems out of place, as you have a mixbag of cmt, H2, H3 and Reach weapons stuck together with (what I think is) reach arms and a H3 biped. IMO it doesn't work...

The Shades shots are underwhelming in that they don't appear to have any real force behind the shot.

As General Okar said, the particles are good and the doors are great. Heck, the textures work well too. But over 700mb? Where'd all THAT come from. I'd expect this to be 120mb tops...

I can see you certainly put work into it, and I hate to come off as an ass, but tbh I didn't really enjoy it much.

My download was only 81.4mb lul. If you want I could provide a pic to prove it. The only thing I've never liked in any of his maps is the random tagset. The map looks bootiful, but why have hr fp and h3 3p?

EDIT: just checked after I extracted, I got exactly 759mb or 777,890kb

If you extract the map from the rar, you get a 700+ MB map.

I gave this a good 20-30 minute walk-around and I have to say it looks great. The outside part of the map looks incredibly fun gameplay-wise and the interiors work really well as they pit both teams fighting against each other for control over the shotgun. The ice waterfalls look excellent as well.

Regarding vehicles, the fire functionality with the left + right clicking is something totally unexpected. However, once I got used to it, I love the way it feels on the brute chopper, but definitely not the shade turret. I feel as if the shade is very underpowered and doesn't have any sort of anti-vehicle or anti-infantry punch. It's just, well, there.

Another thing I do not like, however, are all the different tags used. I agree with what has already been said. There are more refined weapons with balanced animations and model texture, such as the sniper rifle and plasma rifle. Then there are weapons such as the battle rifle and shotgun that have excellent models slapped onto mediocre animations.

Overall I would say it is definitely a map I hope gains more recognition as I would hope somebody would host a moderately full server at some point. It looks very fun, and I hope to play with some other people.

I'll be annoyed as hell If the map is so big because of Gaigher's obsession with his secret rooms full of porn.
If it is, just give us a version that doesn't have the secret room so it's a smaller file size and everyone can be happy.

3Ds lightmap would solved the problem...
I had more space in the map. (for news lightmaps textures)

No.
Ago 65 shaders in the Material Editor.
The all forerunner textures are on 32-bit colors.
I use 2048x2048 for terrain textures (8 textures, not 32-bit).
~50 000 faces for BSP.

The Australian CE server 'HogWars' (1.09) run by the Allied Enemy clan said they're happy to run it, prolly be up tomorrow as it's 11:50pm now and id say its gonna take a while to upload it to the server.

EDIT: For some reason people can't join my server when I'm hosting this map... I downloaded from the link on the previous page, unzipped into my maps folder, and uploaded that same .map to the FTP.

Any ideas?

there was an issue with the 'ALLIEDENEMIES.NET hogwars' server, so it was reset, should be a lot less lag now
