Or that.
Another question. I'm testing a map for a friend, and whenever I open it( I was told it ahd to have OS) it gimme exceptionz. Now, I'm opening it in Multiplayer CTF, Lan, but it still gimme exception. However, it might not be just OS, because sometimes a map just always exceptionz for me.

How were you right, I wonder?
Well, it seems Waffles has developed psychic powers. Time to run away forerver.
Edit: Reinstalled OS.Map still exceptions. Either it my computer is being annoying, or the error is in the map itself.

The next update (3.0.1) will be coming out soon (within the next week) that fixes some minor (eg, settings not saving right) and some major problems (eg, crashing without warning when using a map with an unregistered modset). You'll either see a post about it, or see the version info flashing in game. Quote: --- Original message by: goldkilla88 Are you ever going to fix the Xfire-OS problem? Its very annoying and its my only way to record in-game. Once again, it's not our problem to fix. Xfire has to fix the destructive way in which they hook games. Try searching for/using other programs (eg, MS Expression Encoder) if recording is that big of an issue.

It will be a completely new download.
I don't know what "sounds like an issue on their side" to that admin. It's an issue with their lame ass program. Steam's overlay works fine and dandy.
At the very least, Xfire needs to perform a checksum on the DLL that they're trying to hook into to make sure it's the real D3D9 and not a 'd3d hook'. We can't fix other people's crappy programs.

Because it's a great program that does exactly what it says it does and is jam-packed with handy features for gamers and people wanting to show off their custom content. That's why. Idk why other 3rd party applications that also use d3d9.dll's ARE compatible with xfire, just saying. (I really don't know btw so don't yell at me for raising a genuine concern, as I would love to know the technical reason why those programs do work with xfire and OS doesn't). Edit: I can also report that for some reason I can now finally use the F7 key without any problems, lord knows why it wouldn't work before but hey, neat little feature! Also: I can't find any way to enable bloom in the OS_user settings, how would I go about enabling bloom? And I can confirm that motion blur causes severe performance drop and doesn't really work too well, it needs some better "acceleration" support if you know what I mean. run as an adminastrator? Is your HCE for sure up to date? check http://code.google.com/p/open-sauce/issues/list?can=1one of the solved issues, they just had to delete their postprocess xml (/documents/my games/halo ce/opensauce/)

So, will I be able to use 1.09 version changer in conjunction and not receive any problems in the future?
Also, my installation did not put the d3d9.dll into my directory, and then when I opened the installer with 7-zip it wasn't there either. Luckily I had one lying around from an older version of OS so it's working fine now for me, but obviously a lot of people posted that they don't have it.

When I start releasing stuff I'm just going to use the default stuff, no OS version or anything. Too much complication. But that's just me, OS is definitely a breakthrough.

Actually, I installed it while it was version 1.00, then read that it's only 1.09, so I updated it. Then to make sure there wasn't a problem I retried the OS installer, and picked 'fix,' and after it was done it said no problems were encountered. Is my backwards-ass process the issue? Also, does that mean the F7 hot-key and all the 'pp_' stuff was present in older versions? Cause like I said, it's working perfectly. E) Also, I wasn't asking if OS had a version changer, I was just wondering if it's compatible with Geomitar's (as you have to replace the strings.dll and such). DO NOT use any builds of ANY OS executables that are not from official releases. Always refer to the project's wiki, issues, and especially the FAQ for resolving problems. I'm getting tired of basically telling people to read, so this is the last time I'm spelling this out. "This team is private. You must be a member to view this page. Edited by TM_updates on Jan 28, 2012 at 07:46 AM What other Halo programs, that act as a d3d9.dll hook, run without issue with xfire active? Also, Steam runs fine with OS (thought Steam itself has issues with the function keys). Refer to the postprocessing wikiYou can turn off motion blur via settings or while in-game.
