I am going to set up a creative server and need people to come and help build some structures and make it a good map for halo. I will then import it into 3ds max and get the bsp in game. Post here and I will pm you the server IP. I can only host about 3 or 4 people because my family is using netflix so I cant host that many people without lag.

Normally, I don't like playing the role of the guy who walks in and tells you you're being silly, but here I am. You're being silly. Download the game yourself and make it. You don't need to have a mapping team or other people in cooperative organization to make a map. Seriously people, learn to do some of this on your own.

Also, a minecraft map would probably be the easiest thing to make in 3ds Max; it's just a bunch of flat planes with extrudes and insets with no angles. Go get 'em.

That would be far too much effort for anyone. Since each block sits in a certain way overtop of other blocks, you'd have to have your placement script able to react to any block in the map to place it on. Think of how many blocks there would be... Next of all, if its a multiplayer map, your going to need vehicles to sync the blocks locations.. but then, are you going to have any actual vehicles on the map? If you need the vehicles to collide, the block vehicles would have to have physics, making them that much harder to stack.. Anyways, having like 20 blocks would be reasonable, but I think most people are still too lazy to do even that much, plus, most people other than me would believe it to be imposible for some reason *shrug* its fine, you just need less than something like 128 blocks (idk, check in guerilla how many scenery you can place in a map)


If it where just forge, it would be more simple, but minecraft has blocks stack perfectly, so you need to angle them, and make sure something is underneath, aswell as the huuge quantity of blocks

Heeeey... wouldn't exporting a minecraft level give you tons of overlapping face errors because the blocks stack?
