Just what the heck does the Master Chief Petty Officer John-117 eat while he is in battle? I mean really? Does he have like a tube that dispenses Apple Sauce or something? Maybe a pizza delivery guy in his suit somewhere?

Mentos... the reactor in his backpack doesnt give off nuclear waste like those inefficient 21st century ones they actually generate an infinite supply of Mentos, the refreshing mint that everyone enjoys.

He eats from tubes if you've read the books, he pops out some food tubes when he's not battling, but ingame he doesnt eat anything

Spartans must kill in order to eat. The reason being, they feed on the souls of the fallen. Notice how the MC is always only awake when he is needed to kick ass. However, when fighting the flood, those souls are inaccessible to him since they are in purgatory. However, during the story, you will notice that there are many times when he will have to fight flood as well as covenant, and this allowed him to sustain himself well enough to get through those missions. That is why he must go into suspended animation when not fighting because if he had no one to kill, he would not be able to get his most needed nourishment.

I'm sure he'd probably just take off his helmet and wolf down some protein bars. However, there is a thing I saw 'Popped a wake-up stim'. So maybe he popped the lid off a tube. It probably has either a smoothie or tablets in it. |

yes, he doesnt eat cause if he ate then he'd have to wee n poo, then hed have to get out of his suit, so to save the hassle, he just doesnt eat. he just doesnt.
