I have seen people talking on other threads about making portals for their maps. I was wonderng what are portals and what do they do?

portals can do a few functions,1. A portal can be used to define a region of space for weather or sound. 2.Portals depending on the type chosen can help with the rendering of the structure_bsp "map". And there are 2 types of portals. exact portals and portals respectively.
