Halo 3 felt too slow, halo 2 was dangerously fun, Halo 1 can't be beat, and reach had awesome game play imo, but the graphics were amazing, but halo 3's somehow felt better. I could easily get distracted with Halo 3 by looking at a random object in the light, but not in reach.

There are most likely several NRA enthusiasts that believe you have the right to do just that, however I would prefer you explain why the thread makes you suicidal when all people are talking about are the various games they like other than or as well as Halo.

Ah Dennis and his humor O_O
This thread is clearly biased, I mean look at the title. He wants a competition between Halo and COD, and then says to make sure Halo wins? What is he even requesting anyway?

It is true that it looks as if the original poster was attempting start a clearly biased discussion with his post however, the members did not rise to the bait and instead mostly rationally discussed the various likes and dislikes of games other than Halo as the basis of commonality. It is a useful discussion as long as it does not degenerate into name calling or personal attacks and may or may not change the original poster's opinion as he is exposed to information about other games.

Hence, you can find a variety of different flood forms in their arsenal. They can even infect vehicles. Flood could completely eradicate them with numbers which they don't even need because one flood is almost as strong as a spartan. Plus the flood could even infect the zombies??? It's pretty clear.

Clearly, as Dennis has stated, nobody fell for the fanboy-isms of Halo v. CoD, and I don't suggest starting it now.
For me, having played the vast majority of Halo games and a few CoD games, I got to say, Halo is more challenging in the fact that you can't kill someone in like two body/limb shots with a pistol - or a tomahawk to the pinky toe.
Halo, for me, has the storyline and gameplay to make it a game to last forever, whereas CoD's best asset is Zombie mode. Fun, challenging, and forcible teamwork, it almost made it feel Halo-ish to me.
I can switch between the two series easily enough, but I will always prefer Halo over CoD any day.

Demonophobia. Game may be slow, but it does have the like 10 or more unique death sequences per level. That totally makes up for it. Your character cries alot about being dragged to wherever you are, and its more fun when you see that think that looks like your mom eating a corpse in your house level... and that Reproductive Organ boss fight was pretty entertaining too, you actually get a weapon to fight with for once lol. One thing I would change is making the player run faster... seriously, it takes too long to run to all the death triggers in the level when you have to respawn at the start. I'd also like to know what triggers all the different butcher kills, is it random? The sequel looks pretty good, getting acid poured on you as you melt to death lol. Traps should definatly be made less obvious in the second game.

For me, I still like COD. However, only the good ones. COD5, admittedly, was the best COD ever made. It had a storyline that sucked you in, it felt like the world was ending in Berlin, which it probably felt like in real life, and... Zombies was good. Well thought out maps, no "arzghmgod, SPACE CHIMPS!"
And Halo has to be one of the best stories ever told. It is not a single game, not a single book, not even a single character. It is... wonderful, unique, and annoying at the same time because sum1 just tked you on Blood Gulch. It spans a great distances, it goes to places most other games could never dream of. It has sexy cortanas(only in 3 though!), bad*ss guys like the Chief, Johnson and the Rookie, and it had great games, great books, and if a movie is made, great movie. It revolutionised controls for FPSs, it made them good on the console. It made Forge and stuff like that, firefight and exploding grunts! It has awesome weps, awesome vehis, awesome species. It is one of the best examples of a game ever. It was my first shooter game. It is my last. If I were to die, and I had a choice of any game to play, or to have any game be made... more halos. I would watch a Halo movie over and over again, because you know it'd be awesome. And you would watch brutes eat humans, humans eat beef, grunts sound like retarded dogs.
In all honesty, who here loves halo? MEEEE!
Oh, btw, any1 played Brink? It is pretty friggin sweet. Nice weps, nice customisation, nice maps, its just nice. But sometimes annoying, because you know in a logical situation you would die right there, in an exact way, but then you won't. And then you will.
PLUS, BRUTAL LEGEND FTW! It is HARDCORE!HARDCORE! Great one liners like when you cut out a guys tongue, and say "What? I can't hear, you, its like you got a lisp or something!" And then "DECAAAAPTIAAAOAOOOOOON!" Then you rip open the guys chest, throw out his heart, and retrieve your necklace which has a tooth on it.

I quite liked Half Life. It was original, addictive, and it has a bad*ss character. Gordon... has to be the third most bad*ss video game character ever made. Second is Agent 47, first... Master Chief. Obviously.

Gordon Freeman IS the best video game charecter ever. Valve captured the concept of a great charecter, fed him burritos, and gave him a crowbar. Of course, I have spent many hours playing Halo, but many more with Half-Life. Here is my rating: Half-Life 1 (1998): Graphics: 8.4 Gameplay: 10.0 Storyline: 9.5 Hours of Entertainment: 901 ---------- Halo: Combat Evolved (2001): Graphics: 9.5 Gamplay: Just Classic. Storyline: 10.0 Hours of Entertainment: 1025 ---------- Half-Life 2 (2004): Graphics: 10.0 Gameplay: 10.0 Storyline: Unbeatable. Hours of Entertainment: 2098 ---------- Halo 2 (2004): Graphics: Kinda expected more Bungie. Gameplay: 9.5 Storyline: Best storyline. Hours of Entertainment: 1098 ---------- Half-Life 2: Episode One (2006): Graphics 10.0 Gameplay: 10.0 Storyline: 10.0 Hours of Entertainment: 3081 ---------- Halo 3 (2007): Graphics: Better. Gameplay: 10.0 Storyline: 9.0 Hours of Entertainment: 4001 ---------- Half-Life 2: Episode Two (2007): Graphics: 10.0 Gameplay: Unbeatable Storyline: 10.0 Hours of Entertainment: 6023 Eh, I might sound like a Half-Life fanboy, but it was the game I gladly grew up with. Hope you wont troll me, because then you would sound like retards. And trust me, my tarantulas will not be happy: Not happy at all.

Of course, I have spent many hours playing Halo, but many more with Half-Life. Dear god, just stop. If you actually believe this, you're exactly the reason valve keeps making money for Trade Fortress 2. Don't get me wrong, Half-life is great, but Gordon Freeman is NOT the best video game character ever. FAAAR from it. Hell, Master Chief beats him for this reason alone: Gordon Freeman has never, ever uttered a word, and valve tries to use that as a way to let the player feel like they ARE Gordon Freeman. The problem with that is: they gave him an appearance; a whole friggin' backstory. Master Chief is what a silent character should be like: he doesn't speak often, but he DOES speak. I find it hard to feel like I'm in that situation when I remember I'm a glasses-wearing, crowbar-wielding social recluse. Oh, and Fallout 3 (and its subsequent DLC, new vegas) > all

Uttered. Master Chief can't swim. But he can fall from space onto earth. Valve grasped the concept of a true charecter. And I know I sound like a fanboy. I like Halo, but I enjoy Half-Life better. And here is the reason why: 1. Valve was able to make Top Seller Video Games (e.g: Half-Life, Portal, Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress, Counter-Strike, and even more) 2. Valve is able to create great story lines, Unlike some Halo Games. 3. When they realease a game, they are able to keep their promise. Of course, I may produce 1000 hats a day, but I beilve that Halo can get ahold of a trading system, (e.g: Trading armor, weapon unlocks.) And of course, the finnal moment, Angry Tarantula:
