Hey Its me again with music problems... The problem its that, a user told me to use the "sound_impulse_start" syntax... now the problem, its that the game just only play one permutation, and then it stops! My sound tag have 22 permutations and the game just play 1... I use "Halo CE sound tag converter" to get the tags... because tool throw me an exception or violation error.

Don't use that crappy application, use tool. I made a tutorial on converting sounds and setting them up correctly, let me find it.

Here. It uses voice (high quality) and tells you where you need to put your sounds and how to set it up correctly. Before I knew how to use tool to convert sounds I used that app, and it is extremely horrid.

Good tutorial. When i used to use that utility it only pumped out 22 kHz sounds, and sometimes it wouldn't work. Edited by DAS_G_Lion on Aug 6, 2011 at 11:51 PM Edited by DAS_G_Lion on Aug 6, 2011 at 11:57 PM

I got this exception while compiling:
Compressing... Ogg encoder failed to initialize: Possible reason could be asking for a mode tha t libVorbis does not support ( eg. too low a bitrate). I searched about this issue and some people say that you have to save the file with 22,050 Hz and not with 40,100. I tried wih both, but... Im still having this issue.

What program are you using to edit the sound? Audacity sometimes has issues changing settings of music files correctly, so that might be it if you're using audacity. Edited by Lone Warrior on Aug 7, 2011 at 08:39 PM

I use vegas... But donpt worry I fixed, now i have this problem!
The song is divides in 3 parts (in, loop, out)
in: Its the intro of the song Loop: Its the medium part Out: Its the ending of the sound or music
After saving the "sound looping" tag and put it in the map with scripts... the game only plays the loop part, it doesnt play the "in" part and the "out" part

I get that error too. Though for whatever reason when I use tool_pro I don't, but the files still compile and sound good.
So I would link you to tool_pro but of course Dennis would like ban me or something.

Ok. I shall explain. So when I compile a sound tag and get different permunitions like you are getting I delete any extra sound files located in my "data/" folder or I open up kornman or guerilla, whatever one you use and I open up the compiled sound tag. I scroll to the bottom where it should say "permunitions" or "permutations". And then let's say for example you only want the loop permutation, but you got the end and the start, which you did'nt want then delete those and click "File>Save As" then just simply rename as "loop" in the directory you want it in. Should help a bit more.

I didnīt undesrtand... I donīt want to delete the tracks, I just want the game playing the song normally, not randomly or only the loop part.. I want the whole song playing in the game.
