Uggh... please don't start this argument... take it as canon if you want... but don't argue about it.

Precursors are canon because they are referenced in the Halo 3 Terminals.

Greg Bear's atrocity, to me and a lot of other people, is not canon.

Personally I say none of the books are canon since my first experience in the Halo Universe was playing as the "Last Spartan". My first experience was further reinforced when no other Spartans appeared or were mention of in the Halo trilogy.

The books on the other hand say otherwise but (IMO) tell a much less interesting story so I'm going to stick with my initial experience of MC being the final Spartan.


I would highly recommend to everyone reading the books to look at them the same way comics are written. There's a 'real' version of the universe (games) and then there's offshoots of the original source material(comics, books, cartoons, etc) written to tell a different story then originally expected.

kinda. all the books fit nicely with the game except Cryptum but even that has a slight fit.

Comics are often what games are based on actually, but yeah, I guess in some cases comics shouldn't be taken as the real deal.

No what I mean by that is in comics there's a 'Batman' Comic which is the TRUE fiction of Batman but you may also have a 'Dark Knight' Comic which is still Batman but the writers take liberties with the fiction of Batman to tell a different story. Like in the Marvel Universe all the TRUE fictions exist but they're is the Ultimate stories which are just writers exploring different subjects within the character.

A perfect example of an oxymoron. It even made a list.

I can because I didn't like halo 1 all that much, I can't because the multiplayer is Reach and the game's gorgeous.

Though this forum is filled with a lot of complaining and fighting, it is still the best place for me to find out different things about Halo. Mostly leaks but that is also because i check the forums a lot.

but yea they didn't get to the flood part. I've always tryd to kill that flood and i've downed him but then he gets up and runs away too fast for me to shoot him again.

Melee system's always been editable, I've never minded reticle bloom though, it was just an extension of something Halo already did.

Halo has always had a slight bloom, no one's ever noticed though becuase there no HUD Icon for it. Lol.
