My idea of a sequel to Halo 4. Tbh, I thought the mysterious Forerunner planet thing was kinda dull, and is most likely more Flood or Sentinels. So I came up with this. I'm sure most of you have already seen this, but for people such as Bobblehob who clearly doubt my abilities and knowledge, I'll post again:

Chapter 1: Awakening
November 7th 2553
Onyx Micro Dyson Sphere
A bright, blurry area surrounds you, with no discernable features. Kelly stands over you, speaking urgently.
Kelly: Fred! Fred, get up, there’s not much time! Some kind of portal’s appeared, and Dr Halsey can’t tell how long it’ll stay open now that she says the main power supply’s gone. Can’t tell for sure now Jerrod’s not responding, but her word is good enough.
I’ll take my chances, it might be the only way out of here. Unless you want to end up like Team Katana, you’d better follow.
Fred: Roger that. Where are the others?
Kelly: They’ve already gone through.
Fred: Let’s make this quick, then.
Kelly and Fred enter the portal, emerging on a grassy hill where Dr Halsey, Tom-B292, Lucy-B091, Linda-058, Ash-G099, Mark, Olivia and Franklin Mendez await them.
Linda: (To Dr Halsey) I’ve identified a cluster of structures ahead, they look like they’re inhabited. Should we have a look?
Dr Halsey: Nothing ventured, nothing gained…
Linda: (To Kelly and Fred) Oh, hi. I see you’re a little late to the party.
Kelly: Well, I had to wake him up first…
Mendez: Come on, double time! Stay alert!
All SPARTANs: Yes sir!
The team advances towards the target area, until they reach some defensive outposts, from which a red – armoured Forerunner appears, a surprised low-ranking warrior. You play as Fred.
Forerunner Warrior: (To Rogue Forerunner Leader, out of view) Humans? Filal, some so – called ‘Reclaimers’ have arrived! What should we do?
Filal Devotion (Rogue Forerunner Leader): (To Forerunner Warrior) Let me deal with them.
Filal comes into view, a heavily armoured self – important being.
Humans! My peers entrusted you with the legacy of their entire species, yet even a false covenant beat you to the race. They were foolish, and did not survive. Not anticipating that some would see through the guise of success the Didact shrouded over death. Your species was to be our successors, but have already failed. Now, the true Forerunners will take their rightful place and rebuild the glorious Empire! Come, and I shall not harm you. Refuse, and you will be punished. After all, there is a large selection of you, and I am sure that one of you will break. I require your help to activate the portal, for it appears only the selected few were granted authorisation, save you ‘Reclaimers’. Without your help, we are all stranded, and power will run out now that some buffoon has destroyed The Ark. You will die if you do not cooperate, if not by our hand, by your own.
Fred: That's...not going to happen.
Filal Devotion (Rogue Forerunner Leader): As you wish.
(To Rogue Forerunner Warriors) Crush their resistance by any means necessary! We only require one alive.
Multiple sentinels of various classes appear, followed by 4 rogues. They begin to attack, showing intent to kill all of the Onyx survivors. Once the area is safe, the company continues.
Mendez: I see negotiations went well.
Halsey (scoffing): Let's try those controls. Maybe we can find a way out of here.
Spartans (in unison): Yes, Ma'am!
The group fights through the city to a large building with controls to open the portal.
It is activated. Cue cutscene showing the portal open.
Ash: Was that really a good idea?
Fred: Hell if I know, but we’re going to go have to through it soon.
The group fights to the dreadnought, enter a teleporter to the bridge then take off. Level ends.
Chapter 2: Salvation
November 7th 2553
UNSC Heart of Courage, Marathon-class Cruiser
UNSC forces have received John-117's distress call. After being nursed back to health, he is sent to investigate another beacon coming from the Forerunner dreadnought, along with a small squad of marines/ODSTs. The level begins with the cruiser approaching space outside where the Forerunner Dreadnought has appeared desperately fighting off waves of sentinels – enforcers, sentinel majors and standard sentinels.
Crewman: Master Chief, we have arrived at the destination. We have detected multiple hostile contacts but are unsure where the distress signal came from. Should we engage?
John: Affirmative. Engage those Sentinels, but don't fire on the ship unless it fires first. Understood?
Crewman: Yes, sir! (salutes, then leaves)
John moves to the control system, activating the comms systems.
John: This is SPARTAN–117, responding to a Priority Alpha distress beacon. Any UNSC forces, respond.
Dr Halsey (on comms system): John? Is that you?
John: Doctor? Might I ask what you're doing on that ship?
Dr Halsey: Well, John, we're trying to survive, being attacked by Sentinels and their Forerunner masters. Care to give us a hand?
Cortana: Forerunners! Some did survive! How fascinating! This could be an excellent opportunity to fill the gaps on the events of the Flood war!
John: Now isn’t the time. I don’t think they’ll be willing to talk. Dr Halsey, what are your requests?
Dr Halsey: Evacuation would be nice, John.
John: Understood. SPARTAN–117, out...and it's good to hear from you again, Doctor.
Halsey: Good to hear from you too, John. Out.
John (to crewman): Scramble the figters and prepare a flight of Pelicans, we have friendlies on that ship!
Crewman: Yes, sir! (goes off to a PA system)
Cortana: You do realise that current figures show we’re heavily outnumbered?
John: Yes...but I'm the lucky one, remember?
Cortana: Sometimes you never change – wait! Slipspace rupture detected!
John: Who is it?
Cortana: It’s the ‘Shadow Of Intent’! The Elites have come...but for what reason?
Thel 'Vadam/Arbiter (over comms systems): Apologies for the unexpected arrival, friend. Word spreads quickly. I heard of your mission, and I admit I could not resist curiosity. Would you mind if my Phantom came aboard? I’ll be happy to assist the boarding party.
John: Granted, Arbiter.
Thel 'Vadam: Enough with the niceties. We must free your brothers.
John: Agreed. By the way, thanks for coming.
Thel 'Vadam: (Short pause) …my pleasure.
The ‘Chief, Arbiter and, if the player decides to take a dropship with other men, some
ODSTs, have a short battle to the control room, where everyone awaits them.
John: Welcome, Arbiter.
Thel 'Vadam: Enough with the niceties. We must free your brothers.
John: Agreed.
The ‘Chief, Arbiter and, if the player decides to take a dropship with other men, some ODSTs, have a short battle to the control room, where everyone awaits them.
Kelly: John? Is that you?
John: We’ll have time to talk later. Good to see you’re all in one piece, though. Now, let’s move!
The SPARTANs escape the Dreadnought in the Arbiter’s Phantom, the Dreadnought is destroyed by the UNSC 'Heart of Courage' in a final MAC Cannon blast.
Chapter 3: Epilogue
November 20th 2553
UNSC Briefing Room, Earth
Lord Hood: Congratulations, SPARTANs. You did the UNSC proud. (To John) It’s a shame the Arbiter couldn’t join us.
John: He needed to be elsewhere.
Lord Hood: So I gathered. Now, I’m afraid I need you all for one last mission, after which I have been given permission to, despite previous policies, grant you all unconditional retirement. That goes for Dr Halsey too. I’m sure she feels the SPARTAN – II project was enough, though she will be allowed to continue her research. I must say, the information from Cortana has been somewhat revolutionary.
Dr Halsey: According to my research, we could use the Forerunner knowledge to rebuild entire planets. Reach…
Lord Hood: I’ll leave that to you, Professor.
Dr Halsey: Yes, sir.
The Beam-hog concept is put into production, which is lucky because of the small insurgence, which seem to be immune to projectile weaponry. UNSC win, as always, and everyone lives happily ever after. After this, Forerunner knowledge is used to rebuild Reach better than with human terraforming knowledge. The process is complete, with Reach renewed better than before, on July 7th 2589 (See the Halo: Reach Epilogue), thanks to Dr Halsey’s research. John - 117's memorial back at New Mombosa is maintained, even though he is no longer MIA. A Spartan Brotherhood statue is also erected.
-Thanks to UBE_Chief for amendments to dialogue to be more in-character and pointing out -vague areas that need to be elaborated.-
