Something is untextured or
there is a id that has no material or
your materials are in the wrong order ,ie. 12435

I know everything is textured, but how do I check the others?

I enter the material editor but I cannot find where to check the other two.

Yea, I used to get that error a lot.

1. You need to make all of your textures into multi-materials, even if there is only one texture in the multi-material.

The exporter you are using does not like single materials. (I don't know why, but trust me)

2. You need to make sure that everything has material IDs

Let me know if that fixes it.

Where do I change this? I bring out the material editor but I have no idea how to use it.

Change where is says "standard" to miltimaterial.
Select the correct # of materials, drag to object.

I am using 3ds Max 2010, but this will still work if you are using another version of max, or even if you are using gmax.

Okay, here is what you need to do:

1. I am using a simple box in this example.

2. Select everything in polygon mode and scroll down till you see the text box circled in the image. Now set that to 1 and press enter.

3. Now open your material editor and click on the button circled in red.

4. The "materials/map browser" should appear, find "Multi/Sub-Object" and double click it.

5. Repeatedly pressing the delete button in the material editor will remove the excess materials. Leave as many materials as you need, in my example I only need one.

6. Now you can click on the cirlced button... from there you should know what to do.

Let me know if this helps.
