It seems like barely anyone plays on halo custom edition these days. does anybody know of maps that people play on? I know: coldsnap, rpg beta 6.2, cmt snow grove, ambush, and extinction.

I wish more people played sanctuary. That is my favorite map for Swat in Reach.

I wish I was that young.

As for playing in servers you never see me because I use about 20 different names so people can't tell it's me. As soon as they know I run Halo Maps the game becomes a text fest.

Here is how to tell if you are facing Dennis;

He will type with PERFECT punctuation, grammar and capitalization
That and,
He will most likely be good at the map. Since he's the one that has to review them before anyone can play them

I'll take a stab at his age too. I'm gonna way that Dennis is 55.(I mean NO OFFENSE by this at all)

Anyway, I usually play the five standards:

1.Hugeass
2.Coldsnap
3.Extinction
4.Yoyorast
5.CMT-Snowgrove

Those are the only five maps I keep period. That way I don't have to wait that long at the startup.

Any other good maps out there that are worth getting?

I'd rather have him be the developer of UNIX and the creator of C.

I know the classic maps are played on, but I'm bored of those. If I want to play them, I'll just start up Halo. I will look into Immure though.

INORITE! Why do people playing custom edition (keyword being custom) play on standard servers when they can play them on halo and it won't lag as much. I can understand why in v 1.00, but in 1.09, seriously, all servers should be custom maps. It's the entire purpose of the program. I don;t even know why custom edition was released with the standard maps at all because that is not what it was made for.

Because even if they wanted to play custom maps, not everyone has the custom .map files, and in the end they may start a game with the custom map and no one joins, because either few people know about it, or that many don't download it.

If halo ce had a must-download-maps list, this should be less of a problem.

If you go to Version 1.00 of Halo Custom Edition(With version changer), you will notice that there are people playing on a variety of maps.
Also, There is a player count of 2000+ people daily so that's where you find most halo ce players

A variety of maps including immure, hosted by a very laggy 56k server where 2 people are on fast, laggy rocket flyers of noobness, and h2 zanzibar also hosted by laggy 56k servers where even the host can't help but lag and it all ends up being a race for the rocket or a nade fest. yuo forgot the fact that 95% or more of those 2000 most likely do not OWN the game.
And then there is 1.09 where most pings show at max 166 for me.

I avoid 1.00 because unless I am called there by friends or am wanting to play all the MPG3 maps with no one (because whenever I seem to go there no one is in the server), it is impossible to find a non standard under 200 ping map.
