Who cares? This is all just an excuse to get drunk and have sex, right?

Thats what New Years Eve is for. And just because Christmas celebrates Jesus' birthday doesn't necessarily mean its actually when he was born.

See, my birthday is on January 5th.

I get Christmas presents, and then birthday presents all within 20 days.

As a Christian I have to say that Christmas was a pagan holiday originally. And Jesus wasn't born in December . Christmas was a ploy for the catholic church to please their new Roman converts just like how god is portrayed as an old bearded man wielding a thunderbolt.

This.^^

And AGlion, Christmas and a Birthday right after one another, that is awesome!

Only this forum could turn a simple greeting of "Merry Christmas" into a debate about the origins of Christmas. It's all very simple. You enjoy yourself, religious or not. If you don't, then sucks to be you because enjoyment is something everyone should experience.

^

Though technically, in asian culture, Christmas isn't really celebrated, nor really enjoyed - it's just another day, yipee.

Merry Christmas nonetheless, to those who do celebrate it.

Asian culture is starting to celebrate it, come the new generation which is influenced by Western culture.
Like me, no roasted turkey, but the frequency of tasty food for me rises around christmas (pizzas, dumplings, chicken and sausages and stuff), and of course, I love the 8 week holidays. And we have our Xmas tree out, though that doesn't count for much seeing as we haven't put it away for the last two years.

let me start by saying that this is bs, and let me finish by saying: saying stuff like that means you are looking for a fight, this topic is about being positive and wishing people a merry christmas, feel free to start your own negativity topic, but don't hang around here being a jerk

No it's not. Christianity is one of the easiests religions to prove wrong because the entire Bible is based on morphed facts. The clever Christians changed all of their dates of births and deaths of religious characters to suit the Pagans. And we know this because we have censuses. And if anyone got the censuses wrong, they would be executed in quite a few countries. Censuses were very important, as taxes were treated a lot more carefully in the past because there were a lot more wars and it costs a lot more money to get an army of people with full suits of armour, and massive swords. Why do you think museums for ancient weapons are so rare? We mostly have boring dinosaur museums these days.

I think that the hardest religion to prove wrong is the Ancient Greeks. The Greek Myths are just believed to be myths. There's no real proof that they're not true, as our beliefs say that they were complete nonsense. We have no proof for any of the myths. We don't whether or not Hercules was real, or whether or not there really was a half-god chained to a mountain, and killed every day by birds, for all eternity. Personally, I don't believe the Greek Myths, but I'm not going to tell you about any evidence that says they're not true. So yeah, Christianity is something I find impossible to believe in. You can believe in it if you want, but don't just insist that things are true. Accept change. There are two reasons Christianity is now unbelievable that I know of.
1. The first Christians were geniuses and they tricked the Pagans.
2. One of the Roman emperors re-wrote the bible and became a Christian just before he died. I can't remember his name.

Morphed facts? And do you have proof of this "morphing"? The only change I see is dates, and that is due to calendar changes.

Stop ruining the holiday season. Who cares how or why someone celebrates a holiday. It doesn't affect you in any way at all so why should you care at all?

Guys, really. Everyone just chillax, pull up some cocoa and a movie/fire, and think about your own beliefs. You have yours, I have mine. Stop trying to prove something on a game forum.
