They aren't butthurt. As I said, i was relieved to be removed from the team. and i didnt say i could rival but i could somewhat match tehlag in 3rd person animations (action animations, not gay walking ones). And when you kicked me, i didnt talk to you this way at all. All until you mistook a joke because you are so critical. (not to mention you take things too literally)

One thing that pissed me off for a while. Okay then you get to the parts with the drones and you can activate the sentinels. Well when you finish that part and run up to the guy at the top, he throws random grenades until you get right in front of him, and those grenades kill me all the time. Oh and Also I think the drones were a bad addition to the encounter, i wouldve preferred the drones attacking if you had better weapons to kill them, i didnt like using my pistol to gun them down, it was boring. I would seriously LOVE to kill the drones with a weapon emplacement or with a warthog turret. Much more funzo . But its all cool.

He only throws one grenade and shoots the rest; and he comes out exactly when both hunters are killed.

As for the Drones, if you don't act like an idiot and you activate the sentinels, they should actually kill up to half of them and your allies will help you with the rest.

I'm not trying to prove you wrong or anything, im just saying thats the exact way that I have myself experienced the encounter.

Also, addressing the AI in the warthog.

Lodex is right, in my opinion at least. I have experienced similar things with you guys about missing rockets, except I always only miss them on the wraith and the ghost after the tunnels. That being said, Lodex is right that if you don't drive like a maniac, you should be able to gun them both down easier.

I once got on the mongoose in the end with Emile driving and that one bridge was broken. It checkpoints right before it. EVERY TIME Emile acted like he just hit a man cannon, went flying, and than fell in the gap. If I got off there was no way to make it myself. I luckly finally got over to the other side by jumping off the right time but Emile went down the gap with the mongoose. Great Driving

actually, they can be good drivers, in haloce, i did this before, but it is alot of work scripting and command list wise.

This 1,000 times. You can have decent drivers in CE, but for warthogs and scorpions they must use Command Lists. You can make a good command script, but it requires a lot of tweaking and rechecking just so the AI will go to one point.

AI Driving command lists can be super easy actually. The first one I made work just fine. They just cant backup so you have to have it in an open space

Whoops, I forgot to mention that it's mainly making them move around objects, going up and down slopes consecutively, and then driving alongside other AI that's what's difficult about it. Try having an AI drive a Warthog hog around Silent Cartographer's Island while having a multitude of AI in the way. Not an easy task.

Dropship command lists suck a lot too. That requires a whole lot of stuff, unless the settings I have for the ships and the scripts I'm using are completely wrong (although they work fine for hte Banshee which follows the same type of commands).

Why not replace the rocket hog with a standard gatling instead, this way we can't die from gunners blowing themselves up. Maybe give us a marine with a rocket launcher that targets vehicles while the gunner picks off infantry.

Kat also drives you off the edge in Tip of the Spear every now and then.

The only AI I think noticably improved was that of the some elites. One of those gold ones stole my car after I left it for a while. Stole the gunner seat, and killed me when I came back.

It's not an expert's opinion, but I would not suggest having drivable vehicles in a firefight map.

My expert opinion is that you should stop posting in this thread if all you're going to do is spew garbage like this.

I disagree. Beachhead is a lot of fun when using vehicles. I've always wanted to have a drivable banshee in firefight.

On-topic, as long as it's better than the marine driving I currently have, then I'm sure it'd be welcomed. Have you thought of locking the player in the gunner's seat and making it a recorded animation though? I'm presuming that would assure the proper path on varying landscape....

People are assuming there will be marines driving warthogs in episode 2. None of this has been reveiled yet however, so there may or may not be marines driving vehicles in episode 2.

On the general topic of marines driving vehicles however, you can have marines drive "decently" if you make clever use of command lists and enemy types. For example one could make a command list in which a warthog driver goes to point A, follows a certain loop until told to advance, etc.

Do you know any good tuts for making a command list driver loop? It would help me so much if there is one.

I found 2 switches:

The first being in the light bridge room and the other being one of the rooms where you are attacked by drones.

Just asking, what does "Hold E To Activate Sentinels" do?

Great job TM, you've created a state of the art SP map!

i noticed a number of times that the spartan(marine?) in the red helmet would stand outside of a room that had a number of enemies in it, i would have to go in kill all of them and go to the next room for him(her? never figured out if i was the girl or the red helmet was girl) to appear, like the room with the drones, red helmet would be in the open area before you can get the rocket launcher, i would have to go in activate sentinals kill the 2 hunters and all the guys with the shields then flip the turret and kill the drones before first the other marine would come out and throw a grenade(every time i played it he came out after all the flying drones were dead and threw a grenade half of the time at me) then we go to the next room and the red helmet is suddenly infront of me

dont know if it would have been too hard to program him and the other marine that follows you to fight in those areas or if it was a bug but i just wanted to let you know that

also there were the bugs that you knew about/people told you about during the opening with you and red helmet flashing around the main room

other than that i thought it was awsome and cant wait to play part 2 and any other parts that may come after if its more than 2 parts

I have an Idea for Higuy when he is done with Lumoria. Use the BSP in EP1 were you see the Elite with the sword and the shield and turn it into Lumoria Firefight! It could be cool.

QuickFact = That bsp was originally going to have firefight at the end when you had to wait for Scarecrow, but most of us agreed that it would have been anti-climatic.

I was actually planning on using the bsp for a multiplayer map possibly, using the content from it and changing the layout.
