It does look fun. Maybe you could add like a rocky obstacle that the player would have to jump over. Or maybe add ladders and the player would chose which one he would go up. Just some ideas...

You could do a lot of cool obstacles involving devices. Too bad it's multiplayer and they wouldn't sync.

Fire vents, a fire pit, Flood pits (not actual AI, but rather a kill script and placed scenery simulating a flood orgy like in Halo 3), and a spike pit.

Something along the lines of a mounted flamethrower (like the assault rifles you placed) that fires for five seconds, then stops for two.

Lol I'm waaay ahead of you.
Back when I started mapping, I did mainly ai. In the tutorials, it seems everyone uses either blood gulch or Hang em high for a test map.
So I started by using longest as a test map. That worked well. But after a few runs it dawned on me to make an awesome, suped-up test map bsp that looked and felt like a longest-test map hybrid. And a bsp that I would never have to edit, ever.
The result: IMT (interior map test). It has everything.
-Black wall set up to test HUD/animations
-Room with ai path finding obstacles aka GruntSlaughter aka the Emporium aka The Chocolate factory.
-Hallway of different materials. These all use the same bitmap to save on final size. Used for vehicles, special shaders, or decals.
-Ai driving/3d firing position atrium
-"target cone". Used to field-test weapon strength and spread. Used this a LOT for dual wield testing.
-HEV bay. Useless.

A drop down kind of room?

Soo a vertical room (like your empty pit) with little gaps or holes for players to jump through. If you miss, you die. At the very bottom is another obstacle room or the end. :)


And a maze like room?

A maze room with traps that can be advoided using different strategies. (Eg. Rolling boulder?)
Im not sure if this one will work tho

How about three grunts run at you, but ONE will detonate when it gets close, and you only have time to shoot ONE. If you get the wrong one, you r dead.

lol, the red one, yellow one, or the green one?
This is halo. A video game. Not a psychological evaluation or theoretical scenario.
If a grenade falls in the forest and there's no one there to hear it, does it make a sound?
EDIT: actually this a pretty cool idea. Make three doors instead though. 2 have hunters or flood.

A maze? Moving walls? Moving platforms which you have to jump on? Objects rolling down a ramp where you have to evade it? Walls popping out from the floors randomly? Have to dodge objects that are flying towards you while walking through a walkway? Have to jump over or duck under moving lasers while you run up a circular ramp?

Also will add like several re-healing stations in some points of the game?

I'm pretty sure you can have multiple teleporters on the one channel, not sure though, might be completely wrong.

AI don't sync and never will. AI is out of the question.

Make a hallway where if you stand on a wrong tile, it comes smashing you up against the ceiling.

make a room where flamethrowers shoot for 10 seconds, then stop shooting for 2 seconds.

Actually you can't, not without a biped crushing script, which is what Yoyorast V2 had to do to get randomized teleports.

The script he used laggs the map. So I would just not do the teleporter thing on this map, for the sake of lag reduction.

I KNOW! i don't get why people are always whining about this! i play ai multiplayer maps with people all the time and ITS STILL FUN!


It doesn't matter, it will only lag the map.

Have a small room full of teleporters formed into a wall such that you can't walk past without going into one, and all of them take you off the map or into the air so you die, but there's an invisible vehicle that is somewhere in the room than you can find and drive through the teleporters.
