Son, I would've been your daddy, but, nevermind.

I was thinking of snow in a map without wheather stuff. Do the particle systems like spray, super spray, blizzird, and snow work in game? Or are they for pictures or something?

A rare sight, indeed.

All the random cool effects you can do in 3ds max do not transfer over into the map...it's just not how things work.

You can make particle systems in Guerrilla, Remember it's just a bunch of settings and a location. No 3d program required.
EDIT: You're going to have to use portals for weather systems. Learn how to use Portals and Exact portals... They also make your map run faster and smoother if you use them right.
