Actually, all the people on 1.09 do have proof.
but it is possible to run into this problem even if you have a legitimate key, you jsut have to be unlucky enough to have a pirate who has your key via a keygen.

How are we supposed to prove that we've obtained the game legitly over the internet? Present you with the CD case , CD , Receipt and proof of purchase? Type out the CD key here? =L

he'll still have the same problem. because you've already used those keys. my advice is just download the pirated version because u did have the licence so it would technically be legal. but if u only borrowed it from a friend then u don't own the licence so don't follow my advice. just buy a copy of halo.

have a friend buy it for you and pay him back in cash, duh.

Go to your nearest computer store and get them to order it for you.

Wallmart & GameStop stock the game in stores. (and Yes I have seen it in several of them - just last week) It can be bought on-line from numerous places - talk to your parents if you don't have a Credit Card or Paypal account.

There is ABSOLUTELY no excuse for software piracy. None.

Better yet, go and do some yard work for people. You'll get the money within a week or two if you try. Then go to your local walmart or gamestop and guy it from there. EASY!

Wallmart and Gamestop both have it, I saw it in Gamestop when I went to pick up Reach (less than a week ago). Target has it too, as well as Best Buy. They all have it priced at about $20 (not including tax obviously).

the gamestops around here dont carry pc games.... weird.... im pretty sure i saw a copy a couple months ago when i went to target though. theyre definitely still out there. you just have to look around a bit

yea i saw it in a walmart here. and target.

The ones around here have all the console games displayed neatly on the walls, and the PC games stuffed in a small rack in the corner of the store :/
But yeah, it was there, squished in between some old PC games.

did u not read? tell them to buy it for you. do some chores earn it. im sure if u discuss it with them they will. hell my pops never bought stuff online unless it was a emergency(for the car). i helped him paint, redo the roof and get the yard ready to get pacing stones. he got me the 100 dollar video card i wanted. im sure they would understand. ask them for this, u never know it may work.
