CRIT (AS NEEDED BY ELEFANT):
1. Add death barriers! Really need these. 2. Power down the ar a lil or power up the weaker weapons slightly 3. Hog turrets are useless againt ground troops 4. The 2 new guns (i forget what they're called) need more detail 5. Retexture some of your monochrome maps. 6. Overall needs more polish. the fuel rod gun, for example, explodes like a grenade.

allow me to elaborate on what I said on xfire. On the map Legend, in it's current state, you can fall through the platforms, but you won't die. That is bad for a few reasons: 1. you can't kill yourself, because grenades fall through the ground. 2. There's no way back up (as far as I have found.) 3. You're either stuck down there, so you can't be a part of the battle, or the battle shifts down there, which takes away from the map. Even then, one person would usually be left down there by themselves. The control would fix that. But hey, it's your map, your decision.

The maps are great from my brief walkaround of all of them, but you could improve them by seriously running better lightmaps. They're so dark that it's literally frustrating. It's also quite confusing. I got stuck in a bunch of holes and stuff that I couldn't get out of except by suicide. There was a spinning ring thing too on that spinning ring map that I fell into and wouldn't die, and everything around it was airbox, so I couldn't even kill myself without the nades disappearing into nothing.
Of course, I wouldn't have fallen into those holes in the first place if there had been better lighting.

I must admit this looks really nice. Chamber looks a lot fun, I really like Sanctity and Assault looks as simple as effective in ctf (or, stj as Save The Johnson, neat idea too) gameplay. Great job overall. By the way, having looked at some beta gameplay, I noticed that the AR is capable of scoring headshots. IMHO this makes it overpowered, as it gives an almost sure kill for shield-popped\low-shielded targets, since it has an high rate of fire and such a reduced spread. I'd, to keep its "visual" sake, check the flag "can cause multiplayer headshots" at least, but get out "can cause headshots". If any, I'd higher the damage a bit for shots landing to the head.
tl;dr: Everything looks really nice but for the sake of gameplay, imho, don't make the AR capable of scoring headshots.

Do the mancannons really work? In Gamma's video I saw someone just go "WEE!! ...SPLASH!" in to the water. The water area should have a killzone too. Edited by Lateksi on Jul 20, 2010 at 10:49 AM They did before the beta, but when I made Chamber I edited the force of them because they were too fast for Chamber, so then they were too weak to make it across Sanctity, I've already fixed it so that next time around they should work just fine. Also I moved the spawns on Chamber so theoretically they should work next time, although I haven't actually tested them yet. And yeah, I'm going to visually overhaul that map, the metal textures are just placeholder, I didn't want to get it all textured nicely then have to edit the geometry and then retexture. Anyway, I fixed Legend, so you spawn on it now, that was because someone Gamma wanted to beta like right at that very moment, so I hurried and forgot to set the gametypes the spawn points would be active on. Anyway, I've got a trailer, along with an interview about UMP which will be shown at CE3, so if you want to see it it'll be on CE3 july 23rd.
